Ok i was over at my friends house the other day when he found the Bitter Cup, and tried to use it. His game then froze 3 times in a row when he tried to drink from the cup so is this some sort of glitch? is there a way around it?
Bitter Cup
Bitter Cup
I used to hate going to weddings because the old people would always say,"You Next! You Next!" Now I go to funerals and tell them the same thing.

Spoiler
The cup was meant for use in a thief guild quest. Highlight for more spoilers: The Commona Tong have joined with the head of the fighters guild to destroy the thief guild. If you talk to Percius Mercius, the head of the Ald Ruhn fighters guild, about his background you find out he is the former master of the fighters guild. The new master, in Vivic, has gone over to the Commona Tong side. Many of the fighters guild quests are on behalf of the CT. If you use Percius for advice then you find out which quests are evil and he will tell you how to get around them. Sotilde's code book is one of them. Silencing Tounge Toad is another. Collecting debt money from the club owner in Suran is one. Killing the librarian in Ebonheart is bad and killing the treasurer in the tower at Seyda Neen is bad. As you play through the thief quests Gentleman Jim will eventually ask you to get Percius to help the thief guild. The bitter cup is used to bribe Eldys Fire-Eyes in Baldora. She is a secret worshipper of Clavius Vile. She will support the thief guild and Percius if you give her the cup.

Oh, so thats means don't drink from it? Or can you drink from it and still give it to her?
I'm on my way to do that quest now. I'll try drinking from it to see what happens to the cup afterwards. My guess is the cup will be consumed. You can still finish the thief/fighter quests but you will have to (highlight): You will have to kill Fire-eyes. There are a couple ways of doing these intertwined quests. One is to follow Percius' advice and Gentleman Jims advice. The other is to become head of the fighters guild yourself, in which case Percius tells you to kill Fire-Eyes, the Orc assistant-master in Vivic, and finally the current master fighter. Percius will give you the key to his private rooms and two sets of armor - orc and glass. If you become head of the fighters guild this way then you can still become head of the theif guild as well. The evil path is to do the bidding of the two fighters guild leaders in Vivic - they have you kill all the heads of the the thief guild chapters.

No, you can't drink from it. That will make it disappear. However, when I played my first character, I never joined the thieves guild. I finished the fighters guild before I tried (and failed) to join the thieves. So I could drink from the cup with that character.
However, I had all my stats but Luck up to a 100, so nothing good happened. My Luck got lowered quite a bit though. I guess that it won't raise attributes above the maximum 100, so I don't know how much it raises the best attribute. If at all.
