Silver Pantaloons ?!?!?!?

I have found some strange SILVER PANTALOONS. A nobleman ( dont remember his name ) gave them to me as a ransom for the life of the girl kidnapped by those bandits in the bridge district ( buried-alive-guy quest ).
I am trying a Neutral evil mage so i am cruel but i dont know how can i use this item. Please HELP ...

There WERE golden Pantoloons in BG1.

Sounds like an in-joke. There was nothing you could do with the golden ones either. They were found in the 'Friendly Arm Inn' when speaking with a snooty patron upstairs. He gave them to you for cleaning. You could give them back to him (uncleaned obviously) and I think you received a few xp.

There was a note in the house with the kidnappers that talked about a ransom.Sorry never had no one give me any silver pantaloons .
