Carth, HK47 and Canderous extra quests

Post by Vortek Espio 0 »

Well i am have got the perfect balance in the main quest as i will beat malak as a light jedi with dark powers hehehe (my wisdom is 16 and i am a minor lightside i have kill, force storm, death field, insanity , and only two light powers heal and force immunity, i started as a soldier entered the code for 30 skill points yknow the white black button one and then spent the points at level 4 when i became a consular)

anyway i am having a bug accessing the last three character quests, one for Carth, Canderous and HK47. I have spoken Carth to mention his son Dustil yet every time i run around the manan hangar and every other planet, i get no one approaching him, the same thing happens with Canderous , Jagi never makes an appearance i have got everyone elses special including zaalbar, mission, bastilla and jolee does anyone know how to help me i have hired the game and it is going back in 18 hours. i have hired the game and it is going back in 18 hours.

If I remember correctly, Carth's side quest requires that he be in your party while you're in the neighborhood of Eli's little stand on Kashyyk.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I believe Carth won't mention his Quest if you find too many Star Maps before you leave the ship with him.

You have to get him to mention Dustil before the second or third map, but I can't remember which.

That's just where the Kashyyyk quest trigger is. There's one on every planet, usually in or around the spaceport.

I've seen a few questions like these and they have me stumped. I don't think it's dependent on your game progression, as I've had Jagi appear and trigger Canderous' quest as late as my final star map.

With HK-47, though, you're probably out of luck. His 'quest,' as it were, is to repair him and restore his lost memories and functions, for which you need a significant amount of repair skill (17 for the final attempt). But if you've already completed the Leviathan sequence and had HK-47's core restore itself, then you can no longer make those repairs. So it has to be done before you collect your fourth star map.

In your experience, has it happened at stores (or any specific location) on planets other than Kashyyyk? I've played through the Xbox version once, and sufficiently into the PC version for the quest to trigger, again. Both instances occurred at Eli's.

I wonder if Canderous has to be in your active party for a certain length of time--simulating the effect that awareness of his presence might have on the "interplanetary grapevine."

It all has to do with which conversations you have with which characters by which time. Canderous can be completed even after you leave the unknown planet. Carth, however, is time-sensitive. You have to get him done quick, right after leaving Dantooine.

I've seen a few questions like these and they have me stumped.

If you simply talk to each of your party every time you level up and then take them out into the spaceport when you reach certain personal detail (e.g. Carth's kid, Juhani's enslavement, Jolee after a couple of conversations(or just take him to Manaan), Bastila's mother, Mission's Brother.) then you should have no problem. But, it sounds like you went a little too far.

The love quests are the same way you have to reach certain conversations with Bastila/Carth before you find certain Maps. If you find maps too quick you lose the love quest. BTW this is not from me, it's from the Strategy Guide.

Yes, I've had Carth's quest trigger occur on Tatooine as well as Manaan.

Don't think so. Some games I barely use Canderous at all, and I have no trouble triggering Jagi.

I don't think this is the case, either, as I've let Carth languish until his friend appeared on my fourth planet, then gone on to Korriban following the Leviathan sequence and found Dustil there, waiting. Korriban was my last planet in this case.

thanx for the help

I thank you all for the advice on the characters single quests and i am adding a code below for skill point cheat

and by the way if you have any questions on how xbox games are able to be hired out by legitimate video rental stores in Australia ask fable or me and i have to take the game back in 4 hours

well its this simple during a level up, best to do this as early as possible i would firstly switch to the level up screen and then press black button and then quickly after a button if this works the character portrait will change choose any of feats skills you want for the character then press a for conformation, repeat the above black then quickly after a until you get to choose attributes select intelligence. Keep repeating this cheat after pressing a and you can go up to 98 then just level up with out pressing the button code and you will notice when you level up for real there will be more skill points to use, put them in what you like.

You might be right, Armisael. I'm just going off my own experiences, but the Strategy Guide did make it sound that way. Maybe it only meant the love quests. I've lost the Carth quest before, though, and that was the only reason I could come up with. It was the only time I had let him wait that long.

I've found that if you cycle through each character while after just landing on your first or second planet, no matter which they are, but I've had tremendous luck with Kayshyyk and Tatooine, even returning to Datooine. .Just switch out party members til you've exhausted all your possiblities. You'll trigger at least two per. And if it doesn't work, try heading back by transit to the Ebon once after a while on those first planets and switch some characters and when you get off the Ebon that should work too.
Have fun.

as soon as you can get back into the ebon hawk when you become a jedi, its better to just talk to everyone until they wont talk anymore, and repeat the process at the end of every star map, or after a few levels if youre in the neighbourhood. This will ensure you keep up with the quests. You just need to talk regularly and then just leave the ebon hawk with them on any spaceport and run around the landing area. If it doesnt trigger try another planet each time. Strangely, both Mission and Canderous side quests were triggered in Dantooine, so I'd say its pretty random.

I'm surprised that the trigger for Carth's quest happens on Manaan, since I think the guy who tells him about Dustil says that he's working for Czerka corp, so I suspected that he'd only turn up on Tatooine and pre-insurrection Kashyyyk.

Logic doesn't come into it. I've had Lena turn up on Tatooine. "Last I heard, he was on Tatooine," she says, regarding Griff.
