Well, no Dragons, but there is a wyvern pack.

And a dead wyvern the size of the screen, who gave me the creeps first time I've been on that area.

BTW, they could have placed something like that on SoA. Just for the hell of it.

Are you referring to the dead creature lying on its back in the wyvern cave? If so, I always thought that was a dragon that the wyverns had killed. In other words, the cave used to belong to a dragon but the wyverns killed the dragon and took over the cave.

There's also a HUGE skeleton in Durlag's Tower that's bigger than anything in BG2. :)

yeah

Good points there VonDondu.

As for basilisks, its always handy to either have the protection from petrification scrolls handy, potions of mirror eyes or the protection from petrification spell memorised.

This makes even greater basilisks a walk over.

I must admit when I went into that wyvern cave, the thoguht had crossed my mind that the skeleton must have been ONE BIG MOTHER OF A WYVERN. But a dragon makes much more sense.

They must have caught it sleeping and really ganged up on it with their poison tails.

For anyone who is interested, I recall seeing an absolutely massive skeleton in the wilderness of BG1 somewhere too (I wont say where as I cant quite remember). Either a dragon or a dinosaur thats for sure!

Yes, that creature. I still think it is a Wyvern mother, but no prob, could be a dragon (even though no wyvern will be able to actually kill a dragon except for that one that lies dead IMO).

I always thought I'd be able to see Tiamat or some huuuge creature on BG, but that has not happened... :(

Nice thing for a mod.

Tales of the Sword Coast comes with a particulary nasty dragon. Sort of like Kangaxx, very difficult, until you figure out how to beat him.

I've always been so sad for the fact that they have not sold TosC in Brazil. very sad indeed.

Here's what the Skeleton tells you in Durlag's Tower:

"Greetings adventurers. So many of you have come down to loot the ancient basements of Durlag, yet none ever return. Adventurers are not known for their wisdom, otherwise they'd have chosen a safer profession. Take the five people that stand behind me, forever frozen in stone. Each one of these foolish men and women came to find Durlag's treasure. Now they stand vigil over Durlag's bestiary. Most of the other creatures have long disintegrated to dust, but the great wyrm known as Mechezarin still hangs in its original repose of death. Breathtaking, isn't he?"

Of course, there's no explanation as to how Mechezarin ended up as he did. I suppose that Durlag could have killed him, but how did Durlag transport the body to his bestiary?

SPOILER

I can't remember any dragon in Tales of the Sword Coast. You aren't referring to Dark Side of the Sword Coast, are you? That MOD has a young green dragon in it. I don't know about the latest version of the MOD, but in the early version that I played, it looks like a hasted Wyvern. Its breath weapon resembles Stinking Cloud. It has its shortcomings since the designers of the MOD didn't have any dragon cinematics like the ones in BG2 to draw upon, but it was a passable assempt to put a dragon into BG1.

Thats the thing that i love about forums. they can start as one subject and end up as another. wyverns are dead in my game already. saw the big skeleton. i have not met the big skeleton that lives that all of you have talked about. i will keep an eye out for it.

they never sold ToSC in South Africa either. a bit dissapointing and i have tried numerous places to get a hold of the game. It is the only one that i am missing.

that and Baldurs Gate 3 when it is released. for a bit more information on this go to http://www.take2.co.za

don't know how to add a link. sorry

regards and thanks

Oops! Yes I was... sorry.
But for you, Luis Antonio, that's good news, because you can just download Dark Tales of the Sword Coast, you don't have to buy it like TotSC.

I'll download dark side of the s coast, thats fer sure. And I'll do the same thing I did with ToB, for Totsc, I'll import it - but that takes a lot of time and money, so I'll be without it for some time... *sigh*
