Problems with Nyatar's quest

Post by Maeglin »

Why is it that after I free all four animals and send them through the portal, Nyatar doesn't recognize the quest as completed? This is rather frustrating because it was the only quest I didn't apparently finish before moving on to Chapter 2. Any suggestions would be helpful, cause I have a save game before leaving Chapter 1 that I can go back to if something works. Thanks.

Did you actually go back out and Lead the animals to the tree and tell them to GO through the portal?? They go out but they dont go through on their own.

Yeah, I told each one to go through the portal. They dissappeared, and the portal turned back into a tree.

Nyatar still asks me if I want another scroll or a new zoo key.

he asks if u need "another" key? if so, did u try getting it throw it somewhere, and then talk to him again?

or did u kill the evil ranger that improsoned the animals in the zoo? it is not stated, but it may be a requisite, if u think about it logically.. otherwise, it could be a bug.. though how it could've happened and it only seems to be you..

Yeah, I killed the ranger. And everyone else in the zoo. It feels like a bug. I'm just gonna' let it go, I guess... It kinda sucks though, I wanted to see what he'd give me.

well, he doesn't really give you anything,
unless you're a druid/ranger/barbarian in which case, I don't remember, but chances are he doesn't at least not magical item wise, not cash either. The most painful thing you'll miss is the 100-300 xp. :(

You can persuade him to give you some ironwood also.
