Being a vampire

Post by Fer'or »

Hi. I was just wondering how it is to be a vampire, because I think it is very hard only to move at night, and only to be accepted by the mages guild.

Anybody tried being a vampire?

yea, its definetely a pain because you cant communicate with the 'normal world' if you do decide to do become one than i would be sure you have an alternate way of fast transportation (Boots of blinding speed, constant levitate etc.) Also, as many potions and all the spells you plan on knowing previous to the becoming. However there will be no confliction with the main quest (as far as i kno) I would recommend that you do this after you reach a higher level... also, as soon as you conflict the disease or whatever i would immediately start using the quick travel to reach your clans head quarters. Good luck

Be sure you join a clan that fits your character

I tried and it was very much fun for a while. It's not easy to finish the main quest as a vampire though.
Spoiler:

However, there is a (fairly long) quest that can cure you of vampirism. You can do that quest when, or if, you're bored being a Buffy-victim.

They will, but you can have some (limited) contacts with the Telvanni's.

So I guess I'll just wait until finishing most quests before becoming a vampire..

Just make sure that you use the mark spell in the appropriate places to save time e.x if you join clan Aundae, use mark in Sadrith Mora so you can get there easily, and you just use Alsivi Intervention to get to ald-ruhn and the amulet that you get as a reward to get to Ashmelech! :p

The life of a vampire can be a confusing one.
Just make sure that you want to lead this lifestyle before you contract the disease or whatever its called.
