What is it? It's located on the papermap as a cross (between Maar Gan and Ald'Ruhn), and it was also on my ingame map, but there isn't any door/cave/whatever.
Is there supposed to be a cave or anything?

Yes, it's the site of the Redoran stronghold.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

The place where Hlaalu stronghold is being build, before the construction begins, there is an ebony short sword on the ground (on top of a hill). Are there similar stashes where other house's stronghold places are?

Mom said not to talk to strangers. I asked her what that meant and she said "anyone who looks stranger than your relatives." Except Uncle Sue. I guess. - A boy in Baldur's Gate
