Effective vs. Beholders and little behlders

Post by EternalKnight »

I was having problems in the underdark, and so I decided not to fight the Beholders in the Beholder dungeon place. Instead, I used Jahiera to summon two fire elementals, had Imoen make them invisible, had Imoen summon Nishruu, and had Amoen summon Airial Servant(who says Amoen sux?). Haste them two for maximum effects. They tear the Beholders and little beholders(don't know what they're called, and you don't get a scratch. Also used this vs. Mind flayers, and it was somewhat effective. Just sit there and have patience, sit off the screen (or you'll be attacked), and watch the experience come!

I am the beholder slayer! Whew, had to get that out of my system. Want the ulitmate in beholder slayer goodness? Equip any good figher with Shield of Harmony and the cloak of spell turning (you know, the one that casts permanent spell turning on your character), and watch the smiting goodness! Those nasty cause serious wounds get reflected back, as well as every other spell they cast but anti-magic and domination. The Shield of Harmony prevents domination, and anitmagic cannot dispel the permanent spell turning, and beholders have no physical attack...you get the picture. Like slaying kobolds at 12th level all over again...Just make sure your other party members are out of sight Image

i kill them like this:
i protect all my people from evil except my PC. she's a monk (they run fast Image) i summon a pit fiend and have her run away into the middle of the eyeballs and right through them. if i'm fast enough the fiend loses me and starts attacking the eyeballs.

LOL... i tried making my PC look like a eyeball with shadowkeeper to see if they'd leave me alone. nope. :P hehehe

That's funny, I don't remember having trouble with imprisonment, and I've killed a few elder orbs. I don't think I had any protection against that. Maybe I just killed them too quick Image
