Or at least he's not yet another naked barbarian who has had his axe stolen by a witch! (Do you think one of the game designers had recently gone through a nasty break-up with a girlfriend?) :D
That there; exactly the kinda diversion we coulda used.

LMAO! I ventured into Mournhold last night for the first time and ran into a naked barbarian that hadn't been bewitched or paralyzed or robbed by a witch! :D

On another note: Is anyone else bothered by the fact that no one goes to bed in Morrowind? Many of the characters you meet in the streets actually have houses assigned to them in town, but they never go home! Wouldn't it be fun if you had to wait until people fell asleep before robbing their house?

That's because whoever sleep in their own home, they were usually ended up dead in Morrowind. ;) :D

If you don't like it, make a mod for it (that might be completed by next year if you are lucky....

there actually is a mod for it...the one that locks all shop doors at six pm...

great reason to download a dwemer clock...

btw...back to the jump questions a while back...a constant effect jump at around 30 points, two exquisite rings, and a slowfall, just one point and walk on water on an exquisite belt will satisfy your fondness for exploring and enjoying the wonderful scenery...and still get you to places...you simply jump from one hill to the next, its a complete rush, and a marvelous way to travel. the one point of slowfall will keep you from being hurt at ANY fall...

the best longbow in the game is auriel's bow, not because its got a lot of enchantment points, but simply because it weighs as much as ebony, but packs the same punch as a daedric. and looks better too...

cliff racers are a cool and fun way to practice your enchant skills, destruction skills or marksman skills...

use fire spells, or shoot them, or make a ring with a good fireball spell...the more you use an enchanted item, the better your enchant skills..

not to enchant stuff, the constant effect enchantments should always be done by a guild member, but because the better your enchant skills, the less points an item will consume per use...
They call me Darth...

Darth Gizka!

Muwahahahahhahahha!!!

Playing a new game

Update:

I tried to catch Tarhiel (the falling mage with the scrolls of Icarian Flight)! I tried about a dozen times, and always failed. I could position myself exactly where he would fall, but then he would fall just slightly to one side. I got him stuck on top of me once for about 2 seconds, but then he slid off and died. :D

Just thought everyone should know. ;)

That robe is cool! It is currently my favourite outfit for dressing up

That is one of the things I love about this game. At first I could not quite see the point of all the clothing items since they don't add protection (again..SoA influence  )Then it hit me, as I was admiring the detailing of the robe, that it is all part of the absolute realism of Morrowind; it really takes role-playing to an entirely new level, and it is fun trying different clothing on your character and deciding which you are in the mood to wear.
Has anybody ever tried enchanting it? I was thinking of adding a resist magic spell or something similar when my skills and/or funds are high enough.

This makes me sad that I never looked at the robe closely. Now, I wonder where I sold it?

I doubt it could hold a CE enchantment, but it would be appropriate to give it CE Slowfall 1 pt! Then use those scrolls of Icarian Flight! :D

Yes, I've enchanted Robes, but my stealthy characters prefer to do without. Can't be getting tangled up in a robe when sneaking up on Ascended Sleepers, you know! If you think those are cool, try out some of the ones in the clothing mods.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

If I manage to figure out how to activate the screen shot function I'll take a picture of my character wearing it, and post if if you like
:)

LMAO! Oh the irony ! :D I may just see if that is possible. Though I'm nowhere near being able to do it. I made Enchant and Mysticism major skills, but I'm still trying to figure out the timing of using Soul Trap... :o

I can see that, I only wear robes if I'm wandering around a city; I take it off when I'm climbing mountains and defending myself against bandits and kagoutis. lol! I just love the role-playing of this

I may check out the clothing mods too. I just added a cottage plug-in, and I'm totally thrilled by it. It is right on the river, a short walk from Balmora, and when I head back there to store loot it literally feels like coming home! Even though I can rest anywhere in it I always sleep on the bed, and I'm using the dresser in the bedroom to store my clothing

Hope the image is big enough to see the robe, I reduced it so wouldn't take over your thread ;)

So now that I've shown you mine are you going to show me yours? :D

Surely clothes make good items for enchanting. And the better the quality the more enchanment points it has - exquisite cloths being the best. And this goes to all the cloths, accessories and jewelry, not only robes.

For example, it is possible to enchant CE sanctuary to shirt, trousers/skirt, shoes, belt etc. so that you will get constant effect 100% sanctuary. After that you won't be needing any armor. However, you need to pick your pocket deep for making those enchantments.

Minor note, but you can wear both a skirt and trousers at the same time thus potentially gaining an extra CE enchanted item. Since both men and women wear skirts in this game I have my chars wear the Mara Skirt (CE something or other) regardless of their sexual persuasion. Besides, its hidden by the CE robe which BTW doesn't seem to hinder my char in any way other than slightly obscuring his aim with a bow. Highlite for location of Mara and her skirt (and shirt): Go into Barandas fort and work your way down into the caverns below it. There you will find the Boots of the Apostle (part of an Imperial Cult quest). They have a nice levitation enchantment on them. Levitate up into the ceiling of the cavern and you will see the avatar of Mara standing on a ledge. Give her a scroll of intervention to free her and she rewards you with two CE items - her skirt and shirt.

@Monolith,
This is probably obvious but, IMO it is likely more satisfying (and cheaper in the ultimate long run) to take Mysticism and Enchant as major skills, and then spending some of your hard-earned cash training up in Enchant (it is easier to practice Mysticism if you teleport a lot), so that you can enchant items yourself. Plus, this contributes towards your levelling.
Last night, after doing a job for somebody that provided me with a significant amount of cash, I paid Aljira for Enchant training and then spent some time teleporting myself about. In addition to increasing the necessary abilities I also levelled about 5 times :)

Though I imagine it also depends on the type of character you are playing, mine is a fighter/spellcaster custom class, so this makes it easy ;)

Nice picture, DW! Okay, I'll work on getting a good picture of my current Argonian character dressed for a date with destiny as soon as I can. :)

My understanding of enchanting items is that it is very difficult to do it yourself, especially CE enchantments. Having someone else do it is very expensive, but it never fails. Doing it yourself incurs a chance failure rate that increases with difficulty. I've heard people getting around this by buffing their Int up as high as possible (c. 1000?), but even then they sometimes fail the CE enchantment. But that's what the quicksave and reload buttons are for, right? :D
