Animal Companion with the Druid

I have a level 5 Druid but i dont know how to get animals from the alternative list that is supossed to be available when the druid reach level 4 or more.Actually i'm only can take from the normal list (Black bear, chicken, lizard...)
Can anybody explain me how to do it please?

First of all you have to get rid of your animal companion if you already have one. Kill it or dismiss it, you can only have one at a time.

Second, i think Atari erred on this and power Animals become availible at lvl 6, not 4 or 5. i played with a druid once and had a brown bear for so long that i forgot to upgrade it when i could.
Remember that your normal animals will increase in power as you increse in levels, so the power companions ( which start at lower lvl ) aren't that important.

Try casting Animal Growth on your Chicken!!!!
