Hello everyone,
I love this game but I am also having fits with it. There are four main problems I am having; can anyone shed any light on how to fix this stuff?
How do I get Scorpp (Giant, Temple Level Three) as an NPC? I know it is SUPPOSED to work that first I have to fight him, but After I fight him the only options I have are to kill him or let him tell me what he knows about the temple. After I let him tell me about the temple the game seems to default back to battle and I have no choice but to kill him. I REALLY want him for an NPC but….
NPC refuses to drop/sell/give away ANY loot. Most of my NPC’s are filled to capacity. I can Not get them to drop or sell ANYTHING! This isn’t a problem per se’ but when I need them to pick up robes or something and they can’t………
One of the generated characters in my party is continually referred to as an NPC. Makes it difficult to buy/sell/trade/drop items – ‘nuff said.
And the MOST TROUBLESOME Glitch – Frequently, when buy/selling – looting the bodies or trying to level up and choose skills/feats the slider that moves the options up/down will hit one end or the other and STAY there! If ya try and scroll DOWN say, it will just pop right back up to the top and not allow you to do anything that needs scrolling.

i wouldn't get scorpp, to semi help you with your first one. he is a huge help, but i began to rely on him and i didn't like that. plus townsfolk mostly wont talk to you if you have him. they, "holy ****! look behind you! a fearsome brute!" #2 is normal and it sucks, #3 happened b/c an item an npc had somehow made it's way into a stack of items in your inventory, such as you unable to sell 5 gems b/c one of them belonged to a npc at one point. splitting them up doesn't help
. and the last one is just a installation mishap or something b/c in my installation i am missing line 512 blah blah and for "great weapon focus" it says missing error blah blah blah. still works tho in both cases.

Slider Glitch Fix
I was having the same problem with the slider always scrolling to the top of the screen and realized that it was my mouse scroll-wheel causing the problem. All you have to do is scroll the wheel down one click at a time until it stops sliding up automattically. Its really touchy there are only maybe two positions that the scroll wheel can be in to fix the problem...if you scroll too far down then it jumps to the bottom of the list.
I am also having the same problem with my NPC's not selling any of thier items. They are extremly over-encumbered and slowing the party down. If any one knows a way to fix that glitch please Post it.
Hope this helps!

Re: Overencumbrance
Hi, ErcuNoctis
Have you installed the latest patches ?
They set the Npc's to stop looting items when they are near to becomming Heavy encumbered ( red icon in their portrait).
As long as the wight icon is yellow they'll move at 20.0
Still loot gold though , but here's what i do when i add a new Npc:
Example Fruella - go to Black Jay and pick up all the poison Ivy's in his field, they each wiegh 10 lbs. unequip all items she dont need to wear ( cloth armor, sling & bullets, boots & gloves )
Go to Tailor shop and buy all Farmer Garbs (4) they cost 2-3 cp and cant be sold. when her icon is yellow checck how many more lbs she needs to become overencumbered then buy a cheap HEAVY set of armor or fill her up with useless items like slings & clubs & papers. Shell now only loot coins and they are all yours since she is your wife.
For other Npc'c just buy more farmer garbs & junk till their inventory is full, they'll only loot coins too but it drops as a pile of coins at their feet that you can pick up with a PC
Hope this helps
