I’m working on a Paladin build for the OC’s of SoU-HotU (SP). I know I want some combination of Paladin/Champion of Torm, but I’m not too sure on the order or # of levels to take for these classes, and I need some polishing in the skill/feat arena as well. Also I was considering taking 4 Fighter levels for Weapon Spec Greatsword or Longsword.
The stats I am thinking of are 15Str, 12Dex, 14Con, 12Wis, 10Int, 14Cha
Skills I know I’m taking Discipline and Persuade
Feats would be Power Attack, Cleave, Weapon Focus, Great Cleave, Weapon Spec (if 4 FTR), Improved Crit, not sure what else yet.
Fine Tuning a Paladin/CoT
I wrote a guide on playing a Paladin/CoT, which you can find in the Strategy Guides section of the Neverwinter Nights site if you want to see how I went through HotU. Right off the bat, I'd suggest going with 14 WIS, so you can cast Holy Sword. Always boost your CHA, since you can apply your CHA modifier to a whole bunch of things. I wouldn't worry about Persuade, but then I prefer fighting to diplomacy. Lastly, your feat list sounds good. You could easily take 4 levels of Fighter, as you really only need 5 of CoT to get Divine Wrath, for the +3 to attack and damage.
You could also try the Divine Warrior build posted by Bioware. Haven't played a Paladin in NWN yet, but if I ever do, this will be the build that I'm going to use.
As a side note, does anyone get the feeling that the two new builds posted today are somehow lacking and uninteresting?

Baedden, I can't seem to find that guide, it would be great if you could link me.
Aremah, the builds I favor in RPGs are always archetypal. I understand that this isn't very interesting, being a writer, I know this, but I bet you I could hold your attention with a story regarding either the Paladin/CoT or the Rogue/SD I just like to play the classic, quintessential character.

No problem, it's at http://www.gamebanshee.com/neverwintern ... champ.php. It's a powergame build at heart, but I hope it give you the archetypal Paladin experience you're looking for
Oh indeed I really like this guide a lot! The difference being that I"m goona play through SoU before HotU with this build, so if you had an easy time from 15+ in HotU, if I'm 20+ when I start, uh, it may not be a challenge
The one thing not included is the sequence of levels i.e.
Level 1: (Paladin 1) Power Attack, Cleave
Level 2: (Paladin 2) --

Yes, sadly, a) I'm a newbie at posting character builds and b)gaining 15 levels at once, I didn't need to worry about the order in which I took most of my feats. I also went for a narrative approach rather than a list. If I get time, I may fix that. I'm glad you liked it, though. You will definitely bring the pain if you start at level 20.
Seems like that would work. I haven't played the OC or SoU in a while, so I can't really say "you should be able to do x by y point in the game". I personally would be working toward being able to cast Divine Might, Divine Shield, and Divine Wrath ASAP, though, because they were my bread and butter.
Try to get the Great Smiting feat, for which you need 25 charisma (which you can achive by level 24 if you start with CHA 18 (which is worth it in the end, though it makes most of the game tougher). by lvl27 you can get Great Smiting III with lets you add 4 times your class level to damage when smiting.
