Main quest comprimised???? *SPOILER*

Post by Findecáno »

This is really wierd. Me and my brother are playing this game at the same time. I wierdly got stuck and he didn't. I'm stuck in the beginning of the main quest. I just got the dwemer puzzle box and delivered it to Hasphit(or something), and he tells me to report to Caius and tell him that i need to get the information from the orc in the Mages guild (cant remember her name)., but I can't seem to be able to tell Caius the information. When i try he says to get the information for Hasphit. I don't get the option to tell him about the half orc in the mages guild. :( So Basicly I'm screwed and can't go on with the main quest.

THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!!?!!?!?

PLEASE HELP ME!?

Do you have PC or XBox version?
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

When I first did this section I forgot to ask Hasphit about the various topics on which I needed to report to Caius after obtaining the cube, and he doesn't inititiate dialogue on them as I recall. So I went off to Caius and was "stuck." I returned to Hasphit and ended up hitting all of the dialogue choices in the right hand side of the box; eventually I hit the correct topic...

I'm not sure if this is what has happened to you, you may just have a bug, but I thought I'd mention this.

btw, the stuff about the skull and so on happens when you have reported back to Caius sucessfully and then he gives you another quest which involves doing a job for a certain mage.... ;)

OK, make sure you did indeed give the Puzzle Box to Hasphat. Then, question him about the Sixth House. He should give you some notes. If he already gave you the notes and you've lost them, here's the console code to put them in your inventory:

player->additem "bk_A1_2_AntabolisToCosades", 1

Take the notes to Caius.
