I have problem with Oswald (not sure is the name correct, the small gnome who owns the airship)

If I talk to him, there is only 10% change that I get out of it whitout my my computer booting itself.

Is there any patch that correct this bug. It's getting me very angry because there is always change that when computer boot itself, the saves are damaged and I can't load from that save.

For starters - have you already installed the patch?

No, I run the game on windowsXP and it runs just fine.
Try contacting blackisle about this problem, maybe they have a solution.

Check this trouble-shooting thread and see if any of this applies to you. Definitely make sure your drivers are up-to-date. What type of install do you have? Do you have any mods installed?

Have you tried the game without the mods?
I know EOU worked on my PC, but never tried the other mods.

With infinite stacking you dont need an ammobelt. What does the slowdown fix do?

Infinite stacking is good for potions, that you can have in your quick item slot. It also helps me when I use bow, because I don't have to get new ammo from ammobelt.

Slowdown-fix fix problems, for example in goblin warren lev 2 (that annoying slowdown that almost prevent you playing).

What is EOU?

It has been a while since I tried, but if I remember right, there was that problem, althought no in same scale than now, but I'm not sure. I remember that I have got past the Ice Temple so problem wasn't so bad.

If I uninstall mods, can I still play my previous saves?

You may have problems, especially with new inventory items that weren't in the original game (ammo belt). If you have any of those, use Dalekeeper to delete them before uninstalling.
