No, that's all you get. It's pretty thorough, IMO.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I think its much easier if you've played a few role playing games before(pen n paper, etc).
I'd never played anything of the sort, so just had to muddle my way through. You'll pick it up after you've gone through the game once.
You don't HAVE to understand it all to play it, you can just treat it like an FPS....but, er, without the aiming :P

But why would you really want to? It's like if two guys jumped you, you would look at them and say "Ah, the small one is a piece of cake, only 50HP and no weapon feats. The big one is gonna be a problem, though, - 250 HP, 30 AC, dual-wielding a Prototype Vibroblade and a regular vibrosword, not to mention the 30 FP and the Stasis level 1 and Force Push lvl 2 he's going to use on me". Where's the fun in that?

The more surprising the better the first time around. I don't think I've seen any RPG manual that would give exact stats of enemies.

There is a little bit of point to seeing each enemies stats, I suppose, but only if they're vastly different. For example, fighting a really difficult enemy and 2 of his underlings, you might want to go for the difficult one first, or get the underlings out of the way. But you can really make that decision by seeing that the difficult guy has a name, and the other guy is just a description like "bounty hunter" or "smuggler"

And even then, if it so happens that you die, you can reload and try another way. More challenging and definitely more fun that if you knew everything beforehand.

You can't just bring up detailed files on anyone you want, you're not a Terminator. You can get an indication of how many hit points they have left by the little coloured bar next to their name.

Compare the floating numbers of lost hitpoints with the amount of bar disapearing.
