Okay, it seems to me that Darth Malak is almost impossible to defeat using force powers, they just rarely, if ever, seem to work on him. So what do you think is the best combination with which to hit him when using two lightsabers?
If you don't like my choices, please post your own. Thanks. Also, if you know of any Light Side (or Dark for that matter) powers that actually work well on him please post those as well. Thanks.

Depending on the type of Jedi you play it's probably possible to kill him with nothing extra in the lightsaber. But if you play a consular and up the difficulty it'd be extremely difficult without same add ons.Originally posted by TheJadeGirl

Thats not true, I managed to get a 50 percent hit rate with reflex save related force powers (clearly the lowest of the three). If you are playing a consular, it helps a lot to have plague, even as lightside, for malak, as it will lower all of his stats by 12 (over 12 seconds) his saves by 6 and slow him down. (how great is that?)
with plague and force whirlwind I killed malak without using lightsabers.
As for lightsabers, having the xbox version (without update), the best I could ever get as far as lightsaber damage is concerned, is a double bladed solari upari combination. Or with a critical build you can get lots more damage with nextor and opila (recommended high strength)

Personally, my favorite XBOX 2 saber combo is a regular saber w/ opila/solari in one and a short saber in the off hand with upari/sigil. Very flexible grouping, no matter the attack, you get a great hit.
I also keep a double saber with the firkrann and the other droid crystal (can't think of the name) specifically for facing droids. Also, dont forget the Phond crystal you can get from Mekel on Korriban. Very powerful as I recall...

I play X-box for this game instead of PC, but I beat Malak head on easily without heart of the guardian and mantle of the force. I beat him with 2 lightsabers first one upari+solari and the left was Sapith+Jenruax I beat him dang easily just used lightsaber advance throw on all the dantooine jedi then had my verpine prototype shield on and fought him to the death using heal he's way easy you don't need a super powerful combo to beat him and I was a Scoundrel/Consular.
