Can`t Load

Post by joplin »

I have SOA and TOB. I`ve played them before but have had a computer crash and need to load them again.
I loaded the first 4 disks (SOA) but when I put the TOB disk in, I was asked if I wanted to uninstall BG".
Can someone tell me what I`m doing wrong, please?
Cheers

It sounds as though there are some remaining registry entries telling the program that you still have ToB installed. I would suggest completely uninstalling SoA, then doing a hunt through your registry for any mentions of "Baldur," and deleting these; rebooting, then reinstalling.

BUT BE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE TRYING THIS.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

There are also some useful system cleaner programs out there, which may help :) :

In the end, when I put TOB in and it said did I want to unload it, I said yes. After that it loaded fine.
Thanks for the ideas.
cheers
