I can't say I've heard of anyone with more coinage.

Why don't you just add a NPC with the editor...though that sounds like it'll be too much work.

You don't have to rest, waiting 24 hours is good enough, you can do that pretty much anywhere I believe. It won't take much time at all.

without adding custom content, the mudcrab is the best. alternatively, find a likely-looking building and store yer godies in it until you get a stronghold. when you have spare glass armour in the early game stages though, the cash from a little glass armour will easily last you a week, so time ain't a problem.

Make change

The trick with Mudcrab and Creeper is to make change. Sell them things worth 5000, 3000, 2000, 1000, 300, etc, gold so you can use them as change when you have big ticket items to fence. A 6th House Bell Hammer is worth 5000, a common soul gem with a Scamp soul is 4000 or 3000 with a Betty Netch. An assassins carved dart is worth 2000 while a common soul gem with a Bull Netch is worth 1000. Petty soul gems make nice change with lesser creatures' souls and dwemer coins are a nice 50 gps each. So sell these guys a lot of this kind of stuff and when you have a 17000 gp glass weapon to sell use their gold plus some of these items to make change. Rest for 24 hrs and sell the items back again until you have the full amount of gold. For bigger ticket items a daedric dagger is a nice round 10000 gold - take Creepers 5000 gold plus a bell hammer as change. Rest for 24 and sell him the bell hammer for 5000. Simple. Since time is not relevant in the game sleep or rest in front of Creeper all you need to get your money.

Or just intall the mod that gives each settlement a mudcrab with a million by each siltstrider. It makes things helpful - although you end the game with about 60million. So its cheating on a huge scale - but then again when items of 5000 or more are common its a bit stupid not to have traders with large amounts of cash. Its my one major complaint about the game.

What have I been missing here regarding Ghostgate and glass armour?

There is a mod that puts a merchant with 250 000 in cash at every temple teleportation point. (Divine Intervention etc) You will land by her, and she will buy whatever you've got, but NOT give the full price, like the Creeper or the Mudcrab. That's why I use the mod, it doesn't unballance the game so much.

Now, about that glass armour... ?

the best place i have found and easiest to get to at the start of the game is ghostgate. here there is a shop in the keft hand tower where you can buy glass armour. if you dont want to pay for it kill the shop owner and steal the armour.

if you want to kill someone without getting a bounty just taunt them alot. because they attack you first you dont get a bounty.

im sure you all know this but just incase i thought i would put it up here.

Has anybody ever successfully stolen the stuff from him without resorting to taunt and murder? :D
I tried a few times with my sneak skill at 50 along with making myself invisible and I kept failing miserably...

i managed to steal everything he had including the hammer and tongs beside the kiln.

another thing is if you look in the crates the first time you go into that room you will see another type of glass shield but if you kill him it disapears from the crate. The shield that dissappears from the crate is still glass but has a better defence value that the round one.

does anyone know where i can get that second shield again?

The shield that dissappears from the crate is still glass

the shields that dissapear are glass tower shields, and have an armour rating of about 85 or something compared to the seventy-something that the standard glass armour and shields are. I'm tring to steal from him on level one in my other game, it isn't happening, anyone know how to increase sneak level quickly and lazily?

im lazy, ask 100% fake he'll tell you.

from what i have heard the best way is to turn invisable and sneak behind a guard in a tower. the longer you have the little sneak sybol the more it will go up.

why not possition a book on the thumbstick or re configure it and put a bit of tape accros one of the buttons. then you can come over to mines and when we get back you will have like level 100!!!!!! or you can so that and go to sleep one night. wake up the next morning with the biggest smile on your face ever!
