do you find yourself jumping everywhere?
i understand it gets my acrobatics up, but i maxed that ages ago with my main character and i still bounce around the place like some kind of morrowind tigger.
being able to jump high speeds me up, but if i jump off anything and land somewhere lower down then i'm guaranteed to take fall damage, which kinda makes it stupid
how do you all travel?
anyone else jump around?

ROFL! Yes, constantly! For some reason I don't seem to take much damage if I fall though. It would be even funnier to do this with a khajit character!
What *is* stupid is that I actually have to remember to run

you can jump higher and faster when you arent carrying much, like not carrying much speeds up your running and walking. i find it can be useful to jump over people or get to places i might otherwise need to levitate to. though carrying 2 heavy enchanted CE levitation rings means i dont have to worry about that

That's why there's a SLOWFALL spell.
I run and jump and fly and swim. I enchanted an item with 2 points of CE slowfall plus another CE spell (restore health I think, but that's not relevant). 1 or 2 points of slowfall will protect you no matter what height you fall or jump from. I use Boots of Blinding Speed, rings/amulets of CE water walking, CE water breathing and CE levitation as needed so I can go anywhere on the map. I use CE nighteye so I can see in the darkest cave or tomb. I love jumping from peak to peak on mountains and running up the sides of near sheer cliffs. I don't take paths but make a bee line for my destination. I use the master propylon index for fast travel to the forts to get me in the general area I need.

Re: That's why there's a SLOWFALL spell.
i think thats the ultimate thing to acchieve in morrowind, fast travel. weighing almost nothing, running and jumping and flying and swimming everywhere. starting a new character after playing a fast one is so weird, you seem to run in slow motion
never tried constant effect slow fall, i might have to sometime

I dont do much jumping. Most of the time I have over 350 lbs of stuff on me so it dosent really do much. I do love my boots of blinding speed and my dwemer boots of flying. Thats how I prefer to travel.
Weld the gates to heaven shut,
the abyss leers in hissing ruts.
Unhilt the black grimoire of death,
Inscribe all names that God has left.

And in those frozen moments won
From grief that creeps to wreathe the sun
In drapes inwove with deathshead wing
I thank God for the suffering
the abyss leers in hissing ruts.
Unhilt the black grimoire of death,
Inscribe all names that God has left.

In drapes inwove with deathshead wing
I thank God for the suffering

Its probably my armor weighing me down, stupid ebony. I will probably end up switching to glass or something light soon. Make use of my 4 sets of it I guess.
