weapons of mass destruction

Post by Digitalchimp »

ok kids, i wanna know what your fav weapon is, partly because im intruiged and cos it seems to be the trend to do a "whats your favourite/least favourite/most powerful" thread at the moment.

tell me what and why, is it cos its powerful? rare?

mine is the ebony scimitar that the high ordinators have, they look like v. cool, they look like... really evil.

Thats a no brainer! That ice mace you get in Solsthim (or however you spell that, YOU KNOW THE COLD PLACE!). But really any weapon can be lethal just enchant it with Life Drain. Hell my staff drains life, paralyses, poisons and soul traps. Maintanance is a b1tc# though.

Ill have to say the umbra sword is my fav. It seems really powerful and theres only one in the game. It was somewhat difficult for me to get, mainly because I wasnt that strong when I beat the warrior to get it. It does soultrap for 120 secs on target and its worth 110000.

Yeah, it is a pretty penny for the sword. Of course its not worth that much when sold. I think I tested it to see how much I would get and it was around 60k. Still not bad, but i cant sell that to anyone anyway.

I found the best way to use weapons that have immense monatery value is to get some serious enchanting done and then sell the expensive weapons that you dont need back to the enchanter. All your money comes back. But you have to barter the enchanter till they have no money first. (May not want to do that with your Umbra Sword).

The Umbra sword is pretty good, but its far from being the best weapon. The Daedric Crescent is outstanding, as is Sunder. But the prize for best weapon has to go to Trueflame, or even the lesser Hopesfire. They are outstanding longswords, and they look good as well.

You can find Umbra, and his sword, just North East of Suran over the hill from the Suran Tradehouse. He is quite a hard fight, and as you can imagine he hits pretty hard.

Yeah, he was difficult to take on. I think he has ebony or orc armor or something. I was cheap and turned invisible though :)

My favourite would have to be The black hands dagger, does some pretty nasty things to nearly anything, plus it has absorb health for what? 30 seconds.... not bad...

Also can you enchant bows? ive tried it just doesnt seem to work...

The Black Hands dagger is good, but there is much better out therte. If you like bows, try the deadric bow and please try the deadric crescent. Its so cool.

Last night I had some fun with enchanting :D

I put paralyse and shock on my Daedric long blade, and then placed a 38 second soul trap on my glass longblade. The two together, along with Azura's Star make for some efficient soul harvesting ! :p
It's also a useful way to build up my Enchant skill. The two swords naturally need recharging.. so every time I trap a fairly worthless soul I just empty the star and use the thing to recharge a weapon. lol! I wish I had thought of this before

if by the daedric crescent you mean that thing you have to arse around in the corprusarium for, is it really worth all the hassle?
I was going to do all of that last night, but then discovered I couldn't be assed. how long does it take?

Don't know about the daedric bow, but know about the crescent...

In Tel Fyr, in the room with fyr himself, there is an amulet in either the big chest or in one of the small ones, just equip the amulet and then you can be teleported to some daedric ruin, where you will fight a dremora lord(or something) who is carrying the daedric crescent, and when you defeat him you will get it :D

My choice for the best weapon would be either Hopesfire, or the Mace of Aevar Stone Singer( don't know about the spelling), these two weapon rocks....

Oh and not to forget Truflame, damn it could be cool to dual wield Hopesfire and Trueflame :D :D

ok, there is an amulet, but the lock level is like 100 and I cant use spells to open it, meaning you have to travel the corprusarium for years, no? or am I mistaken and my enchanted lock spell thing is just crap? can you use the locksplitter scroll to open it, cos I cant.
