Help requested with: Error in Tribunal (possible bug)

Post by Hoebie »

Hi,

I have 2 problems in Morrowind: Tribunal.
The first is with the Dark Brotherhood;
when their leader is nearly dead he will give this sort of end talk. Here
some error occurs because he will keep saying it and I can not move away.
The text keep reappearing in the dialog box. So eventually my PC crashes
here. Since there is no way around this dialog (I tried being invisible and
using ranged weapons with paralize) I can't kill their leader.
Is there some patch or upgrade I need?

My second problem is in the mission known as a show of power;
here I am in the Dwemmer ruins, I have found the satchel charges, I placed
them, saw the counter and nothing happened. So I can't pass the rocks lying
in the way and I can not place my second charge because the question box
does not reapppear.

Help with this matter would be greatly appreciated, though I would certainly
understand it if you guys had no clue what is wrong with my version. :P

Thank you all for reading,

Hoebie

Both are known issues. Get the patch here. If you have Bloodmoon also, apply the Bloodmoon patch instead of the Tribunal patch.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Ok, now I ******* myself. Since I continued to play after it didn't work out I have no more savings of before I inserted a satchel that didn't work and now it won't accept a second one.
So once again help would be greatly appreciated (perhaps in the form of an plug-in item that teleports to right past that point....)

Once again thanks for reading,

No need for a plug-in. Open the console and enter the following line:

tcl

Close the console, and approach the collapsed rocks. Move through the rocks slowly until you see a message box about a passage/dark hole to somewhere. Press the spacebar to activate - and click yes to crawl through. Once through, re-open the console and re-enter tcl to turn collisions back on. This cheat is also useful for unsticking yourself from seaweed.
