I have a level 13 fighter and in a few level i will have every feat i want or could possibly need(not to mention the normal feat progression of everone else added on) so i was thinking to multiclass. At first i was goin to choose barbarian but then i read somewhere on this forum that the barbarian speed only works in light armor to medium armor though my dwarf has 16dex this was mainly for ambidexterity and i want him to wear heavy armor. So is barbarian level still worth it and if not(or even if so) what are other choices to multi class
My Shield dwarf fighter's stats are.
Str:21
Con:20
Dex:16
Wis:10
Int:10
Char:2(he is very ugly though fairly smart fo a dwarf)
Also in my party i have
Paladin(helm)[aasimar]
Cleric(tempus)[aasimar]
Druid[aasimar]
RogueX/Ranger1[strongheart halfling]
Wizard(normal)[tiefling]
so i really have all the basic groups required tank/healer/bomabadier etc more than covered
multiclassing
Re: multi
It would have been easier if he had DEX 18 & WIS 8, so he could better use the light & medium armours. Dwarves have no use for WIS, they have so many bonuses to their saves.
Since you have covered Paladin/Ranger the only sensible choice is Barbarian. Brb is good - better HP, Rage(+ extra rage feats), Damage reduction, Uncanny dodge & fast movement.(with the Dash feat he's gonna be really fast!)
You could just continue as fighter and specialize in as many weapons as possible. HOF mode is full of powerful wpns. of different types, only a fighter can truly utilize them all.
Or you could tripple-class and take even lvl's in Barbarian & Rouge. Evasion is very useful for fronliners + extra sneak attack never hurts + it works well with two-wpn style.
My best tank is quad-classed, Ftr4/Rang5/Barb4/RougeX, a thiefling with AC 39. Usually scouts alone and then the rest of my team (2 clerics, 1 wizard & 2 sorcs.) start casting spells!
If you're happy with your feats, go for Barbarian and boost his DEX with Cat's Grace spells at all time. It lasts for 1 hour/lvl, more than enough for each rest period.
I wish you the best of luck.

Oh, When all else fail, put the Dwarf up front!

What were the 5 ranger levels for, is there any gain after level one of ranger???
5 levels of ranger gets you an additional favoured enemy + and additional +1 bonus to your first fav enemy iirc.
also w/ that multi, it needs at least 3 ranger levels to avoid the xp penalty, might as well be 5 for the added boost, plus ranger has several thief skills in class.
