right you lot, when leveling up your charcter (it takes for bloody ever!!) ummm the best thing to do is not go for hp, you should level up there skills accordingly and feats, feats help with brewing and craftind etc

heres a quick guideline for hp!(main charcters)

wizard: around 4-7 hp per level (60hp)
sorcerer: around 4-7 hp per level (65hp)
fighter: around 8-12 hp per level (105hp)
barbarian: around 10-12 hp per level (120)
ranger: 8-10 hp per level (90)
rouge: 7-9 hp per level (85)

you do better than my view ur doing well!

look when it all comes down too it
it really should be over 50hp for ANY charcter!! or ya doomed!!!

Well, I don't know if I agree about not going for hp - especially if you think your mages are gonna break 50 hp - they only use 4-sided die, so unless they've got 14-15+ CON, there's no way they're gonna have 60-65 hp at level 10 - they'd have to be getting maximal rolls for that.

And rogues only get 6-sided hit die, so the same applies to your 85 hp suggestion for them.

Your fighter numbers are reasonable, but to ensure getting the top-notch rolls needed to reach your suggestions, I think players would need to save before every level up and probably reload a few times to make sure they're at least getting 8/10/12 hp per level for their rangers/fighters and paladins/barbarians respectively.

I know it's infuriating, but I do save and relaod frequently to make sure my characters get the near-highest hps possible when they level up.

Of course, that's just my opinion.

Emzigirl, you are not doomed!

But you have been very unlucky or your Pc's have very poor CON scores. If you've managed to play a group with so low HP scores up to lvl 8 you're a very good player. :) :) :)

You need to enchant Amulets of Health +6 for all in the party, and i suggest to quicksave/quickload for the last 2 levels.

With low HP-pc's the nodes and heavy end-fights are very hard but not impossible. It's all about strategy. Don't forget the Meld Into Stone uber-spell that let you fight the Balor/Fire Boss with ease.

Just pretend you're playing Iron Man - mode. ( or are you ?) Then there's no rerolling of HP or Stats or Anything! It's fun and it can be done!

Good luck to you :) :) :)
