Just asking a philosophical question, am. Am I an evil person for using the ToB traps and even normal traps on poor innocent liches and dragons etc? Summoning the Kangnaxx cycle of liches onto a few spike traps is just too much fun, but I have a feeling I'm not supposed to be doing that. Killin the dudes in the sewers early on, I tossed in a few area effect spells to piss them off, and watched them waltz into an ambush, I know these tactics make sense in real life, but since monsters have no save vs. trap, it makes things insanely easy.
Does there need to be a trap mod making them a little harder t use, giving monsters a chance to dodge them, make saves, or even disarm them if they are theives? Or making trap setting an act that turns neutral targets hostile?
Oooooh, and I forgot how the fight goes, but can/should I use a few on demogorgon?
Traps...
Traps...

How you use traps and how it makes you feel is a personal issue. I like them as even a F/T cannot get more than 2 prof points in a weapon so it balances out a bit. I like the F/T char and I find with a pretty full party (5 members - as I always leave the last slot for Immy) that my F/T will be able to set up to 3 normal traps by the time you start Chapter 4 (Brynnlaw). Three normal traps aren't going to kill a dragon or even a lich by themselves but they will get you started. Sure you could rest and set another three traps and that might do it but it gets pretty cheesy and boring if you just keep resting to set more traps. I will normally set my 2-3 traps if possible and then engage a lich or dragon in regular combat to finish the job. Traps are just another weapon/tool in your arsenal just like Protection from Undead spells and other things that can give you an edge in combat. And yes, you can kill demogorgon with just traps - set 6 traps where he's at - hopefully a bunch of them are spike traps - and then attack him. He should die outright from the damage.

yeah, i think you can kill just about anything with those damn things, but it's up to you if you want to use them. there are more ways to make things really cheesy like using outbalanced mods or use bugs that give endless xp/hp. i think it's better to not do those things but a lot of people are finding it very hard to resist. I myself try to keep the challenges in the game and try hard quests as soon as possible. that keeps the game fun to play. if you use cheesy things you will lose that challenge and can kill kangaxx etc at an enormous low level.
I suggest you try not using them or set the difficulty high enough untill you it's challenging again, or try solloing. right now i'm at my 3th soloing attempt, its pretty fun i must say.
god i love philosophy but i must say. this isn't really a philisophical question.
