i picked redoran (poor lonely me)
it fitted with my best character, the first one i really played through the game with.
i like to roleplay different characters, with different skills and personalities
and Redoran had honour and valour and bravery. and they like long swords
but telvanni are megalomaniac wizard lords, which is cool
and i do like the dodgy geezers and theiving folk that are the Hlaalu

I don't know I'd call that 'socialism' so much as having a social conscienceOriginally posted by Dark Master
I voted for Redoran - because they are Socialists! We do favours for the needy for free, and we honour people, not like the fatcats at Hlaalu or the antisocial Telvanni.
I voted for Telvanni, because like every good leftist I'm antisocial

Yeah I take your point, about Redoran not being socialist, but we have to try and justify joining an aristocratic system like that somehow, and they are the least corrupt! I had moral objections to doing the Hlaalu quests, and everytime I've played through the game with a stealth based character I've never risen high in thier ranks. You are asked to go to Vivec and steal some recipies. That's when I decide against it. I've decided to acutally ROLE PLAY the character next time (I'm planning an archer/thief/assain character). My concscience just keeps getting in the way. Spoiler:
In bloodmoon you can just kill Asliips and move on, but I always help him out. Ranis' quest to kill the 'necromancer' I always let her go.... I can't help it. Also part of my reasoning about Redoran, is that in the Telvanni quests you speak to the Redoran councillors about removing a Mages Guild monopoly. They are for fairness!

If pro is the opposite of con, is Congress the opposite of progress? - Thanks to Blake for the avatar!
