Hi,
I cannot seem to resurrect any of my party members in the endgame. TNO has INT=25, WIS=25, CHR=25, and I've tried many variations, but I always get one of three outcomes: either I get the credits screen immediately, or TNO goes directly to the Blood War (without a chance to resurrect anyone), or he makes a few steps to the right, casts Raise Dead, and then the view keeps moving on to the right and down until I see nothing but the outer fortress wall, and at that point PS:T hangs!
This also happens if I try to resurrect just one companion in dialog with TTO or if I send him off to check the shadows. I don't get any chance to intercept this.
I'm playing the 4-CD version with the 1.1 patch installed, on WinXP Pro. It looks like a bug in the game, but I've been searching Google and reading threads for hours without finding any mention of this problem. I only just found Fix Pack v1.36, but it doesn't mention anything of this sort either.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Hans
P.S. My daughter, who played a very different game, sees the same effect.

Hi MikeDykeLike,
Thank you for your reply. I'll do that and reload a savegame from outside the Fortress of Regrets, as a poster on another board suggested.
BTW, the fan patch is difficult to find. I think I only found it (and the other board) through the links in your "Planescape: Torment FAQ and Links" message in this forum, so thanks a lot for that, too.

This may apply to you;
If you are backing up your saved games and un/reinstalling the game (or bringing a saved game from one computer to another), any save from after you've entered the Fortress but before you've gotten to the roof will be useless if you brought any party members to the Fortress.
The reason for this is when you enter the Fortress it saves files to your override folder with the information for your party members, and also layout.ini is involved in the process as well.
What will happen is the game will get stuck when it comes time to resurrect your companions.

Endgame Problem Solved!
Hi Platter,
That's exactly what my problem was. Running under WinXP Pro I made the save, cache, and override folders writable, but layout.ini wasn't. Since the first 98% of the game worked fine, I didn't expect a problem there.
Thanks a lot!
