Spelling error!

Post by Barrin »

i know this is no serious matter but i found it amusing. When u r in the asylum after pretending to be insane u will talk to Irenicus. he says the word "anyting" instead of wel.. u know "anything". at first i thought they were giving him an accent or sumthing. but 2 things disagreed. for one thing, his speach did not say neting, and, he does not seem like one to misprounonce a word liek that in hillbilly fashion. i know it doesnt matter but i thought it wasinteresting.

There are scads of mispellings and grammatical mistakes in the dialog files. Its not that unusual to find one if you take the time to read the dialogs instead of zipping through them (like I do now).

LOL :D

Some of us need to slow down when typing, I guess. If nothing else, it will reduce your chance of getting RSI.

Lol. At first I didn't understand what you meant, then i thought about it. (Notice better spelling) Araknid, don't feel guilty about it, I will try to remember to revise my posts. Back to Vicsun's, I know my post seemed kind of hipocritical, but my text wasnt made repatedly revised, and testest for a popualr video game.

My heart fills with joy when a fellow intraweb user sees the virtues of coherent spelling. One of the most annoying things on the web is having to decode other people's messages; endless contractions coupled with irrationally linked ideas make reading some posts a hard ordeal. It also has the added effect of making the poster appear like a flaming idiot (no offense intended), even if he actually has something sensible to say.

So, in conclusion while I see your point (you're posting on a forum, not writing a game...), taking your time to write the message will usually benefit you as it will not only make your post easier to read by others, but will also make the post more sensible as you actually take time to think about what you're writing.

That was 'posting on teh intraweb 101" by Vicsun ;)

P.S. About your signature - it's usually a better idea to have the forum put the signature automatically at the end of your posts so that you don't have to paste it after every single one of them. And so that it also doesn't appear when someone quotes you. To add a signature go to UserCP, then click on 'profile' and you'll see a text-box labelled 'Signature'. Write "There are no stupid questions, just stupid people." there and then the text will be automatically attatched at the end of all your posts.
