Hi, I wondered on how I can make people turn another way, so I can loot something.
I am talking about the third thief guild quest, where I have to get dwemer artifacts. I don't have chameleon spell, my invisibility is not that strong, and Ra'Zhid never stops looking at me.
Apart from killing him, how can I get the artifacts?

Have you tried walking behind him, talking to him, stopping the conversation and then returning to the position you were initially in? I know that works with some merchants. Does he still turn around to follow you?
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

at early levels it is very hard to get folks to attack you unless your speechcraft is high enough. otherwise, they just tell you you are pathetic and go about their business. however, if you do it long enough and crank their opinion of you to zero and keep it up, eventually they will get mad and attack. early on in the game it often took me upwards of 25-50 tries just to get them to take a swing at me. i guess i was hurling the RL equivalent of "you suck" at them.
I've found that its harder to successfully taunt someone whos opinion of you is at 0. I would usually taunt them to zero, then bribe them and taunt again.

yea that usually works,
anyone had any interesting replies to taunts?
I had "no, i belive that was your mother" once.
i slaughtered them for that.
Yeah, I get that mother one all the time. I've gotten some pretty funny stuff from taunting. But I still haven't gotten all the sayings that other people have. Like, all the humorous ones that NPCs say to themselves. I wonder if the more you play the more variety to the things that people say?

here's a little known effect..
a ranged "sound" spell cast on a wall will distract them...for about a second or so..
warning, if you accidentally hit someone they will turn hostile, since sound is actually a spell casting disabler and is best used as such in normal use...
yes, a high enough sound spell cast on a wizard will keep them from casting spells on you...
