Killing Jonbon
Well, the answer to that is some kind of combo of remove magic, breach, etc. He's not too hard, really, you can buff up, surround him with summons, do area prep, etc. lots of fun & games. If completely stuck, highlight below.
1) SPIKE TRAPS (easiest) or just a bunch of regular traps
2) A paladin with the right gear (or Viconia) can easily be made all but magic immune. Proceed to have them thrash him, while others work on dispelling buffs

I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.

Also, you can try Khelben's Warding Whip (level 7 spell) ~~ it keeps dispelling spell protections for several rounds, so Jonnie will be distracted trying to get those back up. Just make sure you've dispelled his Spell Trap (watch messages at the beginning of battle) by hitting him with a Ruby Ray of Reversal (also a level 7 spell).
If you've got a melee-oriented party, you don't really need to worry about Spell Protections. Just make sure his invisibility/illusion is dispelled (True Sight or Thief detecting traps with high Detect Illusion skill) and hit him with a Breach ~ it goes right through spell protections!
I can't remember if Insect Plague worked, but you can try that as well ~ if he's not immune (I think he is not) he'll be helpless.
