Adalon's Eggs ... ahhhh, doesn't work :O

Post by Ieo »

Stupid question...
Or maybe I'm just tired and didn't think it through or try everything :)

Normally to switch the eggs I cast sanctuary on my cleric and waltz in.. This time it didn't work though I tried like three times. I also tried to just use invisibility potions, but they always yell at me and the whole city turns hostile.. Am I missing something obvious? Maybe I'm switching the eggs the wrong way? (get real eggs first, leave fake, or opposite).. This is the first time I've gone through BGIISoA with ToB also installed, if that might be something. I prefer to take out the city after the ritual (with the background aid of my slaves, fun fun). :)

Ahh, I should go to bed now. :p

I experienced the same problem after installing ToB. Sending in a sanctuaried cleric just doesn't work anymore - the city goes hostile as soon as my cleric reaches the corridor. Out of sheer frustration, I insti-killed the guards. At any rate, I think it's another ToB bug.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Ah ... I was thinking it was ToB bug

Is there any other way to do it without setting off the alarm, then, with ToB installed? z :) z

And, are there any major ToB patches I should get (which may solve this and other SoA bugs that pop up from ToB)?

Yeah - me to, but fortunally you can kill these "egg-guards" without alerting the rest of the temple - so it is not so bad.

Oh, ok... You mean just the two guards at the door, right? Though if you kill them I imagine you'd have to kill everyone in the temple, and the city would still go hostile?

Well, I'll try to quick-off them anyway..

I could kill thoese 2 eggs-guards and not alert the rest of the city - as long as the nearset "normal" temple guard dosn't see it, you should be able to get away with it.

I'm assuming you had to off all the golems, too, if avoiding being seen offing the egg guards by the other temple guards?

I had the same thing happen without ToB installed. Just do in the egg guards and golems and move fast.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
