Mazzy's Duel

Post by Incertainty »

Small problem: Mazzy challenged the ogre, but after that I can find neither the alchemist I'm supposed to buy the drug from, nor his lover. I can't even find the pits! Or rather, I can find them, but neither at the pit with the three small pits, nor the one big pit is anything or anyone waiting for me... Someone?

There's a weird potion in one of the cupboards in the Temple of Helm which I think has something to do with this.

K, thnx. And where am I to find the ogre's lover? Also, does the ogre only appear at the pits after you've done all this?

Sorry I can't provide more info (been a while since I used Mazzy), but I do remember this quest is as buggy as hell. Unfinished Business V8 has a fix for it though...hope this helps.

Oh, before I forget... does this clear things up AFTER you've initiated the quest? I'm guessing no, but it never hurts to hope, does it?

You're guessing right ;)
Vicsun, I certainly agree with your assertion that you are an unpleasant person. ~Chanak

Ah well... can I just leave the quest unfinished then? I mean, she's not gonna run off or something?

Since I didn't have problems finishing the quest, I can't know for certain but by the looks of it, it doesn't seem like a serious enough quest to make Mazzy leave your party.

Well, she did challenge an ogre to a duel of honor for slaughtering an innocent bystander... ;) Either way, I don't seem to have an option, do I?
