Hmmm probs locating twisted rune!

Post by medium1985 »

Hi everyone,

I'm having problems finding the twisted rune area. I have a rogue stone and am in the exact position (apparently) that the portal door is. However, everytime i open the door it just leads to the ground floor of Delosar's Inn. There appears to be 4 doors here. One (where i am now) leads to ground floor. One higher up which leads right to captain dennis with another around the side (same floor). The last appears to be the top floor with a few chests and a pirate.

Anything I'm doing wrong?
Thanks! :-)

I think you are in the wrong place; there are only 2 doors, both of which are trapped and locked. It's a one-floor building. Just look around some more (you can't miss the traps LOL)

Hmm.,

The bottom house (on the right side) in the Bridege is the house where you do the 'buried alive' quest. The twisted Rune is right next to it, there's only two doors availible from the intersection.

Me thinks you are in the wrong area, you describe an Inn that's further up the street.

Go to the bottom right intersection and remember to search for traps. :) (across from the temple)

and you should find it...

Good luck to you :)

Yeah, :)

You need to be PRETTY powerful to do the rune, or veeery Cheesy!

A low-mid level group has no buisiness there.. :) :) :)

Actually I had a funny encounter when I went to the twisted rune last time. The improved mod must have bugged it somehow because Shangalar would appear but then he wouldn't teleport off the table. Some reloads he would, some he wouldn't. After getting my butt handed to me a few times, I decided I would just cheese the battle and let the bug stand. Basically I was able to shoot him in the middle of the table until he died but then he would drop his huge gold stash in the middle of the table. So the next reload I shot him up and before he died, Viconia blasted him with the ring of the ram. He shot off the table where my PC cut him in half with daystar. He crumpled off to the side and then the lootin' began.

Tis a grand day!

Always nice to see someone beating old Shanggy... :D

I can almost see the first time I've battled Shanggy. I was playing my first fighter mage, and happilly triggered the combat. Then, when Shanggy teleported, I placed my FM (name is Iridur) on the back room, where the lich was...

Insta kill...

*sigh*

:D :D :D

I also remember the first time I've defeated them. I've defeated the rest of the game except for Suldanessalar and then...

Trapped the floor, buffed my personnel, used the best equipment avaiable, and WACK!

*the crowd sheers*

First the Eyestalker, then the vampire, then the rest...

Minsc was leveldrained to death, Mazzy had been 'fingered' and the rest of the party was in a very bad state.

Long live the hard battles!!! (I love tactics)

I've yet to try against the improved version, but the normal ones I beat with a F/M simulacrum in a Time Stop....got the vampire, the mage and the beholder before it ended :D
