multi-player characters

I'm playing along after creating 3 characters and now I have problems with 2 of them. All spell casting and missile ranged attacks are made toe-to-toe (melee) with the enemy. This isn't good for a sorcerer or thief. I also noted that their THAC0 has increased to 26 and 28 base. Any help would be appreciated.

@Alancho Drake, welcome to the forums. If I may, two points. First, as you haven't stated the game you're playing, there's really no way of knowing how to reply. Second, this question really shouldn't go under "Tech Support" unless it involves a hardware problem. The first place to post, the best, is in the forum that relates to that game.
