Can't get cleric spells right !!

I have a Cleric already in level 8 but her spells are still in level 2. When I get the inventory screen and click on the button at the right top, I get a list of spells she learned at the left and the spells she's using at the right. I have no spells level 3 on the left, but I came with this 3 lines opening a option for I choose 3 spells level 3. Not even the Official Patch solve this problem, and I really don't know how to kill this stupid "bug".

Can I get a help here, please? Thanks.

what is ur cleric's wisdom score?

that's definetly not a bug - that's a feature !

clerics can only cast spell-levels equal to their WIS-score minus 10 !!!

WIS 12 - 10 = spell-level 2 !

WIS is the most important feat for clerics and druids - you shouldn't start with a cleric with less 15 better 18 increased to 20 at level 4 and 8 !

...btw. same as cleric and druids, wizards needs high INT, sorcs and bards high CHA to cast higher spells level and for having better DC and SP for their spells !

EEEP! Cleric with a level 12 Wisdom....Crikies! Sweety ya need to have that way up there with Clerics. It says in your game your are allowed to have a Cleric because your wisdom is so high but it wont allow you to cast hardly any spells.

I do not know if everyone has expeiences this. But go to Nub and there is a book on the Inn's table. Click that it will bring up that list of Charries to add to your party. You can make a new cleric, or change to a differnt one. **shrugs** It sucks but you really are not gonna get any where passed the spells with a low Wisdom like that.

Unless of course you can kepp playing him or her and wait to see if you can rasie there scores...which I know at level 5 I belevie you can rasie there stats, I am not sure if you can again down the line. **Looks at Dragon ** This my advise what do you think doll?

...you can increase stats at level 4 and 8...-...but this will only allow level 4 spells...

...and the amulet of WIS +6 won't help either (this is the only bug in this case!)

but with this stats (not only WIS) you better build a brand new cleric !

You can change them in the wrench in hommlet and the hostel in nulb by clicking on the book lying on the desk !

...maybe you should post the stats (builds) of all of your party - to get some feedback from the forum...

...at least your cleric looks very strange...

....maybe I should post a powerful cleric-build in the FAQ next....

Thanks silverdragon72, but right now I have Prince Thornmel on my party, so I can't leave the Temple.
I hope I can let him die in battle.

hehehe!! And still use his sword.
