Laggy play

Post by Wopps »

i play on xbox goty, and most of the time the movements of my character are very choppy. is this a normal thing with the xbox (or pc version) just because the game is so massive? it doesn't really happen to the point i can't play, its just annoying. but if this isn't normal let me know, and maybe tell me a way to fix it :) thanks

I play on PC and it laggs quite a lot for me. But it shouldn't do that on Xbox i think. Must be a bugg or somethin like that, I don't know?

Yeah I know what you mean, I just bought a new computer which is far more powerful then my old one, and yet somehow when I play morrowing on the new computer it is very choppy, this was not so on my older computer, and this is with the same settings and all updated drivers. Kinda weird, anyone else have problems like this?

He just said his drivers were fully updated... well you could always download the FPS optimiser. Woops, I've told you before, don't play on the X-Box, its a piece of manure, you have both versions, play the PC version.

I figured out how to fix my problem, it works on pc only though. It is apparently a common problem amongst the Sound Blasters Live users, all you have to do is go to your speakers settings and move the hardware acceleration slider atleast one setting down so it's not at full. Worked for me.

I play Morro on xbox too, and mine gets especially laggy when I'm in Sadrith Mora in the Council House place with all the stupid Mouths and stuff. I think it's all the crystals they put in there. Anyway, it doesn't get too choppy for me unless I'm surrounded by tons of animals/people all attacking me. Especially when I swim around the whole place and don't kill any fishies... :p It gets choppy sometimes... But not too bad. I turned off the shadows. They were dumb anyways. Though, sometimes they let me know when my enemy was hiding upstairs or around the corner...

Does anyone have lag screens when fighting Golden Saints in particular? It seems that every time I encounter one I have a twenty second freeze before I get even relatively close to the monster. I would figure this would happen with Storm Atronachs as they have a more complex animation, but it's only Saints for some reason.

The cure for the X-box is simple, sell it and buy a decent PC!! When will you X-box people learn :D j/k ;)

Anyway, it lags on PC for me too. The worst is when I'm on solstheim and it snows! Magic is also bad for me too, and occasionally when fighting. It's only this way because I haven't updated my drivers since ... whenever, probably not even years. It's terrible because all the graphics go crazy and expand in wierd triangle shapes

Magic definately lags me, as does Solstheim (like I mentioned in my thread)

Chained completely together
With never a false word,
Weal and woe, wish and real,
Woven each together
From first kiss to last breath
First and last whispered in love

Have you two guys tried doing what I said with the sound hardware acceleration? Cause it helped me, and alot of other people too. Otherwise try and turn down your graphics a bit.

My Xbox runs fine with Morrowind, aside from the fact that since I bought my Xbox used, it tends to freeze up a lot and I need to start from my save :(
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.
