Favorite Race

Post by Danbacksli »

Who is your favorite race of all. I personally like the humans because Im a human. I like that they are the most technologically advanced. Im a big techno freak. I dont care for the undead because I dont like things that are freaky. They appeal to me as weak. Nightelfs to me are my second choice because they can become invisible during the night but other then that there not much use except for stealth. The orcs I think are the stupidest race there too strong for there own good. There kind of like Brawn for Brains.

Orcs. They're so spiritual and warrior like. I find their warfare very intresting, the strategies you use them for and stuff... I like them more in the 3rd game then I did in the first two, but I do sometimes miss the ability to make skeletons with them. :D
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

I prefer the undead, they are a well balanced team, combinig good melee, aerial, ranged and spellcasting units, while having one of my favorite heroes, the Crypt Lord :D

As for their part in the Warcraft world, I really like Ner'Zhul's cunning, the way he chose Arthas as his champion and how he planned to break free of the Legion's influence. Since they're undead, they may not have much in terms of personnality (except for Arthas, Kel Thuzad and the Lich King), but I like their group as a whole.

Although if you like the undead so much, because you appreciate the story of arthas and the Lich King. I'm not sure if you know this or not, but if you choose undead on World of Warcraft you aren't playing as one of the lich kings loyal servants. You play as one of sylvannis windrunner the banshee archer's servants. From when she betrayed the lich king in WC Frozen Throne. Her army resides somewhere in the remains of Lorderon. She convinced the Horde to let her join, because the orc's also broke free from the Burning Legion and were given a second chance. So I don't know if that sways your decision, but it probably shouldn't.

Arthas won't appear when World of Warcraft first comes out, but they plan to add Northrend to the world as well as other new lands and story. According to what I've learned from Blizzard.

Arthas is in WoW! ;) but he isnt important in any way, hes just sat on his new throne doing what he pleases, only the select strong few get to reach him, because hes VERY heavily gaurded!

Voted Orcs:
Orcs because they r the only team where you actually need tactics to win, with night elves u jus mass huntress (boring), undead u can mass frost wyrms and crypt fiends (too easy), and Humans all u need is knights and riflemen (wheres the challenge?)
with Orcs u cant jus mass a unit, because they all have their weaknesses, massing grunts will be owned by rangers/air, massing headhunters ull get owned by melee, etc etc.
so Orcs i like best because i like a challenge and the unsureness of a success! :D
Reasons Why You Shouldn't Annoy Sentleth
1. Sentleth Rules
2. Full Daedric
3. See Number 1! :D

It will be eventually, along with other new lands, when they make more story to go along with it.

The way you tell it though that some people can actually make there way to arthas? I seriously doubt they allowed you to be strong enough to charge through arthas' entire undead army that he plans to conquer the world with. I think who ever told you this might of been BSing. Besides how would that person of even gotten to Northrend? You can't turn into an air unit. The air units and boats you ride for transportation are controlled by NPC, so you can't aim for northrend.

As far as the orcs on WC3 I would think they have the least of strategy to use. Even the official Strategy guide quotes them as being the "most well rounded army." To use them effectivly, "get in close and crush the enemy, don't react to them" (which it takes strategy to react and counter) "but to make your enemy react to you." You do however have to build according to your enemy. If they mass air, you need a few wolf riders for ensnare and troll bats for anti-air.

As far as the humans, they have a lot of power and strength. Their units have lots of hitpoints. So, they don't need to retreat a lot (which is good because they have slow units,) they can just sit there and battle it out.

The night elves have lots of ranged and speedy units and are used for quick precise attacks, retreating afterwards only to regroup and comeback again for another attack.

The undead have the most powerful magics and should only be picked if that's your style. You may think they can mass frost wyrms, but the humans can build two dragonhawks for every undead frostwyrm. The dragon hawk has this firecage ability it can cast on other air units that holds them in place and neither the dragonhawk or frost wyrm can attack. So massing frostwyrms or chimeras isn't always the #1 strat. But every race (even the orcs) has it's own strat that is completly different from the other races. -Or so those are my ideas on these races.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.

Really? Arthas, my all time WC HERO, in the WoW?!?!?!Sweet! Do the Undead forces have to face the Almighty Arthas or will we be ruled by his greatness?

I plain love the Undead. They are cunning, secretive, powerful, dark, evil(which is always fun to play), immune to breathing under water, immune to many spells, have almost limitless units because they come from the ground, and are fearless because they are already dead! Although as you can see by my account name, that I just plain love everything about the undead...they're like a protoss/zerg mix, but for a better game called Warcraft.
So I offer you respect, and it will take much for you to lose it. But if you do, if you choose to see it as weakness and seize upon your perceived advantage, well...perhaps I'll then let you talk with Guenhwyvar.

See I don't know if you played the expansion pack to warcraft 3, but in it,(SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) it shows sylvanis windrunner betraying the lich king and arthas. She then took over as much of the undead as she could and she started a new undead city in the ruins of the humans former lands, Lorderon. You play as one of the undead there. Sylvanis hooked up with the horde for protection, but shows no real loyalty to her new allies.

Night Elf are cool to use and ambush other opponents. What is really cool is making an invisible line of archers and preventing people from getting past. Works well when attacking an enemy's base and there is only one way in, you block it with archers who are invisible and use another army to destroy.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

Well that sounds like a good Idea but not very practicle. Unless you play newbs. I would think you would need every availbe unit to take someone out. ;)

I voted for Night Elves, not because they are the best or I am good with them, no ladies and gentleman it is because I like them just being the sly and clever people who pushed back the burning horde when they invaded and being thousands of years old. Thats my opinion, anyway I have been playing warcraft for 2 years I think but I'm still a newbie in it, because I don't actually try to win or anything, I just try to enjoy it (I mostly play custom games but if I play melee thats what I do.)

I prefer the Orcs, because I think they are easier to Macromanage with. Which is more my style. I think the Elves are more for Micromanaging, but it's still good to play each race a little so you know the whole dynamics of the game.

Easier to Macromanage?
Build some Giants and feel the power! (While using archers at back lines)

I play elves because they are... hm... because they are women! And they fight like mad! And Demon Hunter is the most charismatic character.
That's why I have started to play evles.

But now I can see their strenghts and weaknesses - and know how to improve first and eliminate second.
(I reached 23 level yesterday :D Not a lot, I am still working on it! Soon everyone will know the power of Kams the Women Commander!!!)

Mate, you are in the wrong forum. You are looking for the World of Warcraft forum, not the Warcraft Series forum. LOL.

I could disagree. You don't really need to build a lot of giants in the game bears are much better to have than giants. Per cost of food and resources bears deal more damage and take more. Giants are for micro managing and using that taunt ability to throw off the enemy or attacking certain enemies that are vulnerable to seige attacks. Techinically those little purple pixel things you like playing with so much, aren't women.
Always remember you're unique ... just like everyone else.

I voted human because of one thing ......... GYROCOPTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are the best unit in the game!

Undead are powerful but they are a really limiting race.
Orks i think are just cannon fodder.
Night elves are good and fit but they are weak.

Humans are well rounded and even their basic units are really powerful.

Note :
Why aren't they called Gnomish Gyrocopters in WIII like they are in WII?

Lol

I'm going for orcs. They have great combat abilities and some great magial abilities as well. I like using all the spike upgrades as well. All power to shamans and Witch Doctors!!

I'd play as nightelves second, because I just like going invisible somehwere and ambushing whoever goes by. Plus my games tend to run a little longer than they should so I like being able to move the entire base, and raising up the entire base to attack a foe.

I hate the undead for a variety of reasons (mainly cause to many people play them and think thier cool), and humans I find boring for the most part. No offence to anyone who likes the undead or humans.
