ToB forum might be a better place to ask this. :)

But since hes here now anyway, why not answer his question? :p

The Big Metal Unit:
A suit of armour, wearable by all characters, with a base Armour Class of -10, that gives the player the size and appearance of an Iron or Adamantite Golem.

Edit; to be more precise:
AC: -10
Magic resistance: 5% bonus
Usable by All (mage as well although they cannot cast the spell while equipping it and thief cannot use pickpocketing and stealth ability).
Requires: 15 STR

ToB content, SoA forum.

(And as Fable has hard wired himself into the GameBanshee mainframe, questions asked in the wrong forums cause his arms to twitch uncontrollably. Really intereferes with his day job in Starbucks :) )

Noober: details on various items can also be found here.

Components for the Big Metal Unit can be found throughout the game, so even though its a ToB item (ToB things are often discussed here) he could, and did, ask it here.

Btw, I dont think the Big Metal Unit can be found in the armor section and the pantaloon enigme part of the site gives a small, not so detailed, answer...

Ahh, but it doesn't seem to give the stats, but as you've done that anyway... :)

D'oh, your right, I never noticed that section, thanks for pointing it out.

Never used the suit myself though, never collected the pantaloons either :p

It actually comes in handy while fighting Mellisan at the end of ToB. Since the suit increases your size, you can block the exits from the various pools so that a melee fighter only has to deal with things one at a time. They can't get past you when you're that big, so sniveling mages who bruise easily can safely cast spells from behind without being hacked to pieces. :)

Ah, thanks. You wouldn't happen to have the stats for the ammunition too, would you?

The ammo for the big metal rod is pathetic. It does very little actual damage - the only advantage is the speed at which it can fire. It's about as effective as Jan Jansen's flasher-master-bruiser-mate skulls (*BURP* - turnip reflex!)

bruiser mates rule earlier in the game, especially with a smaller party. my four person party is just plain ecstatic when jan takes out enemies for a couple of rounds.

and he just got the insect ammo :D
