Tip for huntress party (spoiler)

Post by glory »

I've seen a lot of post of how difficult this battle is...i found it relatively easy. I basically put every in the back of the room with the giant candles. Then i place 1 skeleton on the other side of the contraption..clicked it then ran back into the room to join my party... of course the skeleton gets jumped and only 1 or two of them follow me...i then basically lured them in one at a time and beat the crap out of them.

Interesting strategy, though I also did not find the fight hard, but when I first was not ready for it they took me down!!! Those bastards owned me like a paper doll!! I felt very very small. But its ok I reloaded and draged their asses across the floor and then mopped up any guts they left with their carcasess. Any way I just use my two tank, main guy and sarevok, to whirlwind attakc beholder and my Planetar kept the nymph busy while the elemental prince took the archer on himslef. After the beholder went down, two of my fighter turned around to the KENSAI oh yea the joy of wooping that armorless bastard. Then the six handed thing, my two fighters kind of walked through it and the nymph and the cleric and the archer were a pushover.
I felt much better afterwards and went for the 2 headded monkey downstairs.(who was even easier than this fight)
Trap? What trap!? Ah shi....!!!!

What kind of weapons did you have at this point? I found this battle very hard at the core rules level. I fought them all at the same time though.

That beholder kept doing cause X wounds, and the huntress has about a zillion HP. And Ytossi does that poison/disease, and has protection from magical weapons, and is immune to normal ones(she's a marileth) The fighter dude was also pretty tough. They all were fairly resistant to fire, and my implosion spells and dragons breath were almost useless. I think this was the hardest fight in the game. I did the last fight in one shot, and even Sendai in one shot.

How did everyone kill the Nymph party so fast?

ok, My main guy (Berserker)Dual Wield Foebane +5 and Answer +4 and Sarevok Psion Blade +5
. Basically I was ready for the Beholder to come out. And I had Planetar standing where the nymph thing pops out and an Elemental Prince standing where the archer shows up. So those two were occupied. The as soon as beholder appeared I did Greater Whirlwind on both fighters and beat him down. Turned to kensai and put ordinary whirlwind on and just owned his anarmored ass. Afterwards the little six armed whore got hers with critical attack. After I moved on to nymph thing and beat her down. She and the Planetar were not doing much damage to each other. Then I went after the cleric and then archer.

Is it "Club the Kensai" day today? :D

Apparently, people derive great satisfaction from Kensai bashing. Where would that come from? Is it because of all the good press the kit got?
