I've only looked at the homepage, but it looks nice. Too bad there won't be a demo... but a demo would be difficult to create.

100% voice over ... I wonder if they for once have had VO for the protagonist. Hate when everybody talks but my character, then rather just limited VO :)

But 40-50 hours gameplay ..... hmmm ... I don't like how short games have become. 40-50 seems to be defacto "standard" for RPGs at the moment
Proberly just so they can add expansions like Bioware for NwN.

But looks interesting nevertheless and definately a rpg I'll keep my eyes on.

Hum...Carsten - the lead designer - somehow likes Gothic 2...I think it will have VO for the protagonist. But to be sure I'm going to ask at the forum.

EDIT:
Alright, here's a thread about that ( somehow): Voice Acting
Not exactly what you asked for, but I think that it's more or less the same answer...

Hey, where did you read that!? 40-50 hours? Alright, I can't even imagine how much this is. And it always takes me longer to beat a game - no hours, years ;)

I pretty much like the fact that the other party-members will act like in Baldur's Gate 2.

EDIT:
I asked Carsten and when you follow the main story-line it will take you 40-50 hours. But you can play about 100 hours if you want to explore everything.

I've taken it from the FAQ on their site:
It'll take the average player about 40 to 50 hours to play through the game. However, you can keep on playing afterwards, explore the world and train your character since there aren't any level limits in The Fall. You'll even encounter new, enemies, quests, characters and hidden secrets and the game itself will be more difficult as well!
(sounds much as the approch taken in Fallout)

To gameplay hours comparison: NwN - Hordes of the Underdark is said to be a 20 hours campaign. I belive the original NwN was stated to be around 60-70 hours.
Baldurs Gate 2 main plot line, I belive, was said to also have 50-60, but with extra quests had around 250+ hours.

hehe, ok, the FAQ I read was a bit different when I read it the last time ;) .
I needed about a year to finish Baldur's Gate 2 and I still haven't finished NWN. I think 40-50 hours should be more than enough...100 hours with subquests and and so forth.

Personally - I don't think 40-50 hours for the game untill ending is sufficient, but there is not much I can do about it. It, as I mentioned ealier, seems to have become the defacto standard for the industry at the moment.
As for the 100 hours totally, well - I haven't any chance of knowing that since it isn't publically stated on their site. But if it is 100 hour possible, before the storyline has ended, then it sounds good. Continues play after the story(game) has ended has little interest to me, because ... well ... the game has ended.

This looks like a very interesting game. The sci-fi elements in particular caught my attention. It reminds me of Fallout, but obviously more advanced. I'll keep my eyes peeled on this one.
