patch questions

if I download the patch for the game, will it affect my current game I am playing or would I have to start over?

Good question...Logic says it shouldn't effect a game in process but, then, what do I know? But logic says they should put a warning on the label, right. But you know, in all the patches I've downloaded I've yet to see a mention of that!

I've inatsled a patch on my game while I had saved games and it
did'nt effect them at all.
