For me it also depends on whether I'm good or evil:
Good
Keldorn
Minsc
Jaheira
Imoen
Aerie
Evil
Edwin
Korgan
Viconia
Sarevok
Which brings to mind a question: Even though you give Sarevok a part of your soul, he's still an evil bastard, so I'd imagine you'd have to have a fairly high amount of charisma for him to join (anyone know the real deal behind this?)

I saved Suldanesellar from destruction, and all I got was this stupid amulet.
I'm thinking I'm going to create a Wild Mage for the first run through. I'll CLUAConsole in the items I want if the provided bag of holding doesn't have good enough stuff. I'll miss out on those great bonuses in Hell, but they aren't that useful for a mage anyway.
Sarevok and Imoen are, for me, givens in a first run-through, though I'll swap out Imoen for Jan if her thieving skills prove inadequate.
I'll probably take five characters at most, so I'll have Korgan and either Anomen or Viconia, probably the latter.
Or I will play my Kensai/Mage with 7 million exp, not that you keep the surplus exp as I understand it, but so that I won't feel guilty about granting my character an extra few million to test out the special abilities right off the bat. He would be accompanied by Sarevok, Imoen, and Viconia. (A lineup which will demand Tensor's transformation quite often I'm afraid.)

Not sure, but I think I'll go with:
Sir Anomen (party leader, second fighter and cleric)
Valygar (main fighter, scout and backstabber)
Jaheira (druid and bodyguard for mages)
Edwin (main mage)
Jan (thief and second mage)
Machiavelli (true bard: fights, cast spells, pick pockets, sings, identifies items etc)

Although my party is very balanced I'm very curious about sarevok's behaviour and dialouge so I might switch 1 of my chars for him but I wonder who because everybody is vital to create my ultimate party.Maybe I can loose nalia but then again I would only have 1 mage and I always use 2 mages.Minsc could be replaced but I always like his reactions to certain situations and I wanna go further with the party's friendship with eachother so it's quite a problem to organise the party when I want to use sarevok.I'll decide it when I get the game.

Ugh...not another 'what party are you taking into ToB' post.
Oh well, when in Rome do as the Romans do...
Inquisitor-I wanted the holy avenger for myself
Minsc- Butt kicking, for Justice!
Imoen- She's my sister
Nalia- Pretty good mage
Anomen- Why! Why! Why! Oh well, he's a pretty damn good cleric.
