instalation problems, help please

instalation problems, help please

rihgt ive had both SoA and ToB installed before but ive subsiquently formatted my hard drive. Now i have SoA on but when i try run the ToB installer it only gives me the option of uninstalling. Ive tried removing SoA and using different drives and i wondered if any one could help me before i have to resort to formatting my hard drive again

Do a backup of your registry, and then search through it for all instances of Baldur, Gate, etc. Delete those, reboot, and try reinstalling.

press the start button
press run
type regedit

And as fable said, be sure to back your registry up before messing with it.

Try 'uninstalling' ToB. It might remove the registry entries for you, such that you won't have to manually edit the entries yourself.
