I can't find Fred

I can't find Fred. He is not at or around Flick's house. Were could he be at.

Are you looking for him to collect Becky's debt money for the first time or is this the second time you are trying to find him to collect what he owes you? The first time he looks like anyother jet addict or beggar and you just have to talk to the bums until you find him - often walking from Flick's towards Becky's. The second time he is in a tuxedo and is usually in Flick's place. I couldn't find him the second time in my last game but then I remembered that I was forced to kill one of the bums while doing the Den quests. For some inexplicable reason a bum (possibly Fred) attacked my char for no apparent reason and I wasted him. Did you kill any of the junkies or bums in the Den earlier? - if so you may have killed him.

I am trying to collect Becky's debt money and I have talked to ever person I have seen. Plus I did not kill any beggar. The only people I have killed was the Tyler's gang.

Since its the first time you are trying to locate him look of a bum in brown clothing with bad posture (I know, the town is full of bums with that description). He is usually walking at this point in the game so he may have made it to inside Becky's bar already. Normally I run into him while he is walking toward her bar but on a few occassions I've found him inside.

Possible spoiler (highlight): Give Fred a break and offer to cover half of the debt he owes. Then loan him another 50 gold. When you return to the Den later on he should be standing there (usually inside Flicks) in a tux and will tell you that he struck it rich with the money you lent him. He rewards you will some expensive loot including large fuel cells that you can use on the car.

I talked to all the bums in the town and none of them is him.
