How to get back to apartment quickly?

Hello. First-time poster here. On the Gamebanshee walkthrough, I read that there is a way to get back to your apartment instantly, and just as instantly, get back to the place you were at previously. So, does this exist at all, or do I have to run back and forth manually? If it does exist, how does this work?

on the map page after you hit start hit X and it will send you to the outside the door of the apartment. when u want 2 leave just go back 2 the map and hit X again and it will send u back to your original place.

alternativly If you are on the PC there is a button in the map screen that says "transit to hideout". and when you want to go back the button changes to "transit back".

This does not work from all locations though!! which is s bummer!
