Forum Migrated - Report Problems Here
As you no doubt already noticed, the GameBanshee forums have been migrated to the latest version of vBulletin. Since there were so many changes and enhancements, a few bugs most likely snuck by, so please use this thread to report any and all that you find. I should note that I totally rebuilt the search index this evening, so that should be back to normal. I'm also working on the login/logout section of the main GameBanshee pages (upper right corner) and the "Latest Forum Topics" on the main GameBanshee page, so please don't report those as bugs.
I'm also working on a brand new layout that uses the color scheme we used to have, but there are literally hundreds of new changes that are available to me in my administration panel, so it's taking me a lot longer than expected. I hope to have the layout available tomorrow evening, with a "Fullscreen" version shortly afterwards. So, unfortunately, we have to bear with this bright and shiny one for another 24 hours (or less).
Thanks for your patience and understanding through the forum migration. This was the most comprehensive upgrade we've done on GameBanshee to date (with the removal of the subscription service), and any support you can give us would be greatly appreciated.

I have updated the default forum style to be a similar version to what we had before the migration. However, since the colors and tables change depending on the page you visit, I will be making tweaks as I find things that don't quite look right. I've also begun work on a fullscreen version, which I hope to make live later this evening.

This is great! And as far as I can tell there do not, as of yet, seem to be any bugs. I really like the various new features, and now that the old colours are back I appreciate them even more.
btw, what is the best way to donate to Game Banshee? I know there used to be a link somewhere but I'm having trouble finding it.. probably due to too much Morrowind and a lack of sleep...![Roll Eyes :rolleyes:](./images/smilies/)

Well - there is the problem with avatars as mentioned in the other thread: http://gamebanshee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31797
Also - the "reply-to-a-post-box" is awful bright, on the black background. It isn't a bug, though - but is it possible to alter the colors of that one, and maybe making it more neutral?
Also the frame around the box is a thick grey sort of one, and the button/lables are likewise grey (light grey Windows color), that seems to clash a bit with the layout of the general forum. Dunno if it is possible to mess with thoese colors either (would think it possible
)
Small things I know, so not high priority of any kind![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/)

Oddly, that has just come up in the one thread in SYM. Suggestions so far are silver and light buff rather than the bright white.
But as Xan says.. hardly a priority, lol!![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/)

I agree. The old colors don't seem to fit into the new forum format as well as they did the old. I think the colors need the same tweeking.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

Was what made me post it here, so it didn't drown in SYM.
I still love the color scheeme of GB (I've always like black-background on webpages), just that white reply-to box really blinds me (and others)![Smile :)](./images/smilies/)

The PM system seems to be a little shakey. I've sent out a few test mails to a couple friends that I knew were online, but neither of these recipients said that they'd recieved them when I asked. I did, however, get a series of mails from DW, so something is working, though not all the time. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/)

I'm wondering if the little popup that appears when we hit "submit" asking if we want to request a receipt helps to make the system unstable???

You know, after I hit "Cancel" upon this popup (assuming that it was the "No" for the request of a reciept) an error message came up saying that there was no such user as "dragon wench". I went back, retyped my message, hit "Yes" and it seemed to be fine.

I had a similar problem earlier today, so maybe the "cancel" option is what causes the problem????

Not a problem; just some praise. I got an automated message when I signed on not simply of a PM, but telling me who the message was from. When I read it, I was given the opportunity to automatically reply with the recipient's name in the TO field. And when I sent it, I was given an option to "notify when read." I don't recall all those being offered, before. Good deal. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Buck, I've posted this on word ascosiation:
[QUOTE=Luis Antonio]
(Buck, can you retrive this ten character limit???)[/QUOTE]
This is not a bug, nor anything, but could you lift this limit, at least for word ascosiation, since it is spam, and we can do no other about it?
I dont care bout the other threads, but this one...

Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.
Buck, I don't know if it's you playing around with the system or if it's just the board's error, but the Forum directories aren't updating, and every time I attempt to post I get directed to an error page. The threads are updating correctly, but it seems that nothing else is. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/)

[/QUOTE]This is happening to me as well. I get a similar error message when I try to delete the tracking on some of my PMs. Also, new posts in threads are not showing up on the main pages, we have to go into the threads to see if there have been any new posts.

We had a problem with the whole site today, which required me to reboot the server while I was home for lunch. It wasn't until I got home from work this evening that I realized there were some corrupt tables in the forum database, so those didn't get repaired until now. Everything should be back to normal, though, so please let me know if you have any other problems.
Also, for those of you curious why there is no reply button when using private messages, it appears the developers removed it and only wanted a quote button. Here's a post from their official forums to clarify:
