Help! Bug That Can Kill You Instantly!

Post by nadxcore »

MINOR SPOILER

OK, so I go to the Forest of Mir (I think that's the one) where you have that conversation with Gorion. I have a sorcerer, so my main character is extremely weak. When Gorion cast spells on him, I can't heal him or do anything since he's in dialogue. Gorion just kills him every time! PROTECTIVE MAGICS TAKEN BEFORE DON'T SEEM TO HELP EITHER!!!! I have no idea what to do... I'll do anything, cheat, whatever. I tried to use cheats, but you can't even use cheats during dialogue. What do I do?

Welcome to these boards :)

When you say your sorcerer is weak do you mean your hit points are so low that the spells that 'Gorion' chucks at you do enough damage to kill you? If so try bumping your hitpoint total with a potion of fortitude or casting Tenser's transformation first (the scroll seller in Saradush has this spell available assuming its not one of your spells).

How many hitpoints does your char have?? DarkGorion is scripted to take away a certain percentage of your hitpoints... so no matter how many - or less - hp's you have, you're meant to survive this (duh).
If you can't find an in-game solution, download a game editor and temporarily raise your char's hitpoints.

Maybe your level or energy drained when you meet him.
Try removing that if that's the case before talking to him.

Why dont you try starting dialog with one of the other party members? Such as sending korgy or perhaps savvy ahead, they start the conversation and you dont get hurt.

I'm not sure if that will work out, but it should.
Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.

It's a dialog event where the damage is caused to the player character regardless of who goes in first.
