Im getting it tommorow, and playing through BG1, TotSC, BG2, and ToB.. Finaly get to complete my collection and play through the whole thing..
And this time I promise not to solo. I will still be picky about who I let in my party though. Seriously, would you let 5 completely different strangers follow you on your way to work one day? Naw.. (And I wont travel with any more than three at a time, so like me, Imoen, and 1 other hm..)
Oh yeah, playing as a fighter/mage..
There is nothing better in BG2 than timestopping with your elven fighter/mage decked out in songchain armor and whirlwinding your enemies 2-3 times for a good 30+ damage per hit... gotta love it
Okay I will leave you alone now..
Or will I..
Actualy I bring up a good point about being an elf..
erm if Gorion raises you (an elf, 700+ year lifespan) and Sarevok (A human 70 year lifespan tops..) would he die from old age before you hit adolescence?
Finaly getting BG1 again

If you play through everything again, I'd recommend getting the mod called BG1 Tutu. Basically, it converts BG1/ToTSC contents and lets you play them using the BG2 engine, which is capable of higher resolutions and includes gameplay enhancements. The mod is still considered a beta release, so there are some small bugs. But overall, it's a very good way to play through the entire Baldur's Gate saga. I've been having a blast playing with this mod, and honestly, BG1 just looks so much better in 1024x768 than it does in 640x480

If your unfamiliar with BG1 i wouldnd recommand starting with TuTu, it does more then just editing the grafix. Is also edits the classes etc. And i found it a bit unballanced.
You have a VERY good point there on the age diffenerence. Damn, a flaw in a almost perfect story

I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.
BG2 spoiler
According to BG2:ToB, Gorion didn't raise Sarevok. He could only save one from the Temple of Bhaal, and that was "you" - Sarevok ran off on his own during the fight. (this information is given after you kill one of the Bhaal-spawns, when the solar spawns in "spirits" of Gorion and young Sarevok)
But still some time-problems there, but I don't know much about elves lifespan (other then it is long)
