Best spell against Confusion?

What's the best defense against Confusion spell? Or, if your character is already confused, what's the best spell to counter it?

chaotic commands to prevent it.
and IIRC to disspell it: Disspel Magic will work just fine.

Perhaps you can avoid being Confused entirely. Where does it happen? Umber Hulks in D'Arnise Keep?

Xyx, well, got through that part already (cast Cloudkill in the room then closed the door and let them cook). No particular problem with confusion now but wanted to know the right defense/cure jic I encounter another enemy that can cause it

Ring of Free Action... good saving throws will work aswell

Chaotic Commands is a level five priest spell

IIRC = If I Remeber Correctly

Hmm...does anybody know any good protection spell against confusion for a solo fighter mage?
If we forget the Ring of Free action.
It seems as my contingency (invisibility/improved inv.) - triggered when "helpless" doesn't trigger when confused (as it's supposed to in the discription)

Spell Immunity: Enchantment should do the trick.

a ftr mage could wield lillacor (grants immunity to confusion)

or wear ager's hide (any char that can wear leather car wear this iirc)

greenstone amulet will provide protection for a turn / charge. (just pickpocket some mords's swords)

shield of harmony, gives immunity to almost all mind attacks iirc.

Im not 100% sure if its the ring, or my rather low saving thorws, but i've NEVER been stunned, confused or held since i put that ring on...
