Actually the amount of members online, only reinforces the view of it as a bug :)

So, now I've posted about it in the "Gamebanshee Discussion" - in the "bug thread".
So we'll see what Buck has to say.

Yes, but I've noticed that the board must update *somewhat*. I saw DW log in this morning, off later, and back on this afternoon. Her name hasn't been on there constantly, so there's something up.

Yeah - I also talked to Maharlika ealier, and he isn't listed as online anymore either.
But it seems the updating of it has just stopped at some point during the afternoon/evening (GMT time).

Well either it was fixed, or there was a significant mass neurosis in logging off, particularly in the guest region. :D

From "Feet of Clay" By Terry Pratchett:
"It seemed to be a chronic disease. It was as if even the most intelligent person had this little blank spot in their heads where someone had written: "Kings. What a good idea." Whoever had created humanity had left in a major design flaw. It was its tendency to bend at the knees.

It could be the case the old system only manage to show/accept/calcurate two digit numbers, hence the highest ever was 99, as it couldn't go over 100 mark? So, we might have already had more than 100 people online at the same time before, but it wasn't shown in the old vBulletin version.

Very much doubt it. The former board system wasn't created back in the 80's :D

interesting...

there are currently 101 active users, which beats the old record if those users are genuine and the bug is fixed.

Why, oh, why you don't believe GameBanshee actually had more than 100 people accessing to the forums? They may be lurking due to fear of leather wearing ladies or whip bearing moderators, or whatever, still this website is enjoyable enough to attract many! And, of course, don't forget Weasels' power of duplication under different names.... :o
