ive played morrowind for a long time now but some things are still mysteries for me.How do you solve the canal puzzle under the temple in vivec?i got to the force field wall and the shrine that says something about breathing underwater but i dont have a clue wat to do.any help would be appreciated.also,if you become a vampire and then get cured of it,do you still retain the skill bonuses of being a vampire?

You will lose your skill bonuses when cured of being a vampire, and that puzzle in Vivec involves you actually drowning yourself. Let your breath run out, then your health run all the way down. When you get very low your health will be restored and the force field will open. This can be very annoying if your character has a lot of health, so I try to do this quest early on.
